You are now listening to the UK and the world's favourite wrestling podcast. Party and wrestling with your host Andy and Emma. I started. Hello.

Hi. Hiya. Oh, here we go. Straight in.

Put the time while I'm cleaning my glasses. How am I? I'm okay. I'm okay.

Not really that much on, you know. Can you join out? Yeah. Playing out on Diablo.

I've seen a lot of you playing Diablo. Does it just look like the same thing over and over again? Yes. It's not a spectator sport Diablo at all.

No. And you feel like you're always counting down. What do you mean? I feel like there was a timer.

Some sort of timer element over there. Ah, yeah. Is that right? Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. The whole time of the time of the time. And even the cooldowns on your abilities.

Right. Yeah. Well done. Well noticed.

No fam, Ham is babe. Yeah. You watch what I do. I can't not.

I can't not like here in C. Yeah. Played a bit of magic on Friday. Oh, yes.

Of course I got all of that. Anyway. I was just having a lot of time. Oh, very day.

It does, doesn't it? Yeah. Seems like there should be another one coming up now. Yeah.

Yeah. That was fun. Came last but I was good. I chose myself though.

I was always on the participation. Yeah. Got a participate. Speaking of which, you got a participation award, didn't you?

I got a little pack. Yeah. And a promo that some would like is like a zombie great token snap thing. I'm not sure what it might see if you want to.

I'll send it. Do it. What else have I been up to? I've done it.

You got a shift. I did have a shift. I had a 14 hour shift where I cleaned their smoking area. Ah, mate.

It's so good. You're domestic goddess. Oh, yeah. I was washing pots.

I was changing the bin bag. So that kind of stuff. Yeah, it was good. It was good.

I enjoyed it. I thought you know a shift there. I know nobody knows where I'm working nor will you. It doesn't feel like a shift.

You sat down and you're chatting away. For one part of it, I was sat in the room area with a couple of the lads watching watching some film. Samuel Jackson was in it though. I've never had the film.

He looked quite young. No idea what it was. Yeah, it's quite chilled out. You just got to be there for him.

That kind of thing. So that was fun. Yeah. Not really.

It's tough because I'm in the weird sort of point now where you need to technically finish. I've got a few weeks off, but then I moved my next placement so my holiday starts now. Something that weird. It's not quite finished, but this is just on the break.

Yeah. Yeah. I was thinking about sorting guitar out. I don't know what mess with that because I was getting bigged up again yesterday, which is lovely.

So yeah, maybe I'll want to buy myself a little slide. Okay. I'll have the slide. That's a very blue thing.

A lot of blue is going on. I'm not. I'm okay. I'm not bad.

Still not drinking. Four weeks. Yeah. I think so.

Okay. Before weeks on Monday. Partly hates this conversation that we are. Because it insinuates you had a problem.

And you're like, oh, four weeks over. You didn't just reiterate. You were not alcoholic. No, not at all.

It's just that I was just using it as a crotch to relax and to unwind. And it's not the best thing to relax and why because it's just the opposite. Like I do. Well, I guess so.

Are you a burgers? Maybe I should take four weeks off take away. Oh my god. Maybe.

Probably die of lack of nutrition. But then if I do, as many burgers still, I might die of lack of nutrition. Over the now just worked. Yeah.

Just works. That's very cool. Cool thing going on. Yes.

Yes. You don't have to say anything, but it's pretty cool. Hines. Yes.

Doesn't work for Hines this week, which has been fun. Yeah. As much as a small part as I played in it, still being fun. Oh, yeah.

Yeah. It's been a bit of a minute. Kind of weeks. Not much.

Well, I say not watched a lot of wrestling. I know what's going on. I know that you just not watched any. Yeah.

It was hard because there's no point in you watching SmackDown this morning because Money in the Bank was on them. I know. Well, I've kind of seen bits of Money in the Bank. Watch a bit of door.

I haven't watched Dynamite really. I haven't watched Rampeh. I haven't watched a lot of Collision. It's just been a weird week I think, necessarily.

Yeah. I've been in door happened. And then I was kind of like out of it completely to like variety. And I was like, oh, maybe watch one of them.

And then just then. Yeah. Was Money in the Bank was been on a decent time or so? Yeah.

It was on a normal time for like, it was like lunchtime me. What, like live? Yeah. What were we doing?

Well, I was out when I, yeah. Yeah. Kind of watched it. It would have been on in the evening shortly yesterday.

Yeah. It would have been for us. It would have been a bit of a firmness lunchtime or lunch-ish time. What's it going on today?

I was watching some fucking show on Amazon. You could have taught me through the show. Check it. What's the only lesson?

Fucking true crime shit. Well, the interesting thing about it is we probably would have had only like one tea talking points from it anyway, which I think we've got. Yeah. But yeah, so this, this show, like before we get into it, I've literally got a sentence.

Like, there's no no, it's not going through any shows. I was planning on going through the window. I'll just kind of, you know, run down some bits when we start. Because it's not, to say it's not worth going through it.

It's like, well, there's been three AW shows since that, since that show. Yeah. And I don't really know what's going on. I kind of do.

I've seen like a little bit of like, I'm Jeff and I'm gone. But I haven't seen anything. If that makes sense. Fucking Diablo people like, what's, you know, what's a poor boy to do?

You're all in. When he's got, when he's got fucking, you know, I'll live, hey, there we go. That's not, that's doesn't cost me a train trip to fucking London or Swagview Black Row. Back Row.

Black Row? What's that? No, I don't either. I'm sure a few people think of it, but not me.

Yeah. So, should we get into it? Might be pretty short this, but we can procrastinate. Is that right, sir?

Procrastinate, are we? Just keep going off. Keep going off on some jeans. My chair's making loads of noises when I lean back on it.

What are we on? We're on 250. I don't know what it is. No, fuck it.

I'll check it. Yeah, it's still easy. Yeah, 14. Luke Warm, Shady Mendez, and Disney Dad.

Yeah. That's a point of, it was misleading, title because it made the podcast a lot more fun than it was. It was funny, it wasn't like laughing in it, was it? I don't know.

When you're talking about wrestling, can it be laughing in it? Can it be laughing in it? I don't know. We've had some right cracking laughs.

Yeah, but not a minute. And it's usually taking a massive piss out or something. Laughing away. Laughing away.

Well, if it's a three hour podcast, you might be laughing once and then on average. Hello, everyone. Welcome once again to RTM Wrestling, episode 214. How are you doing?

Hope you're all doing well. Hope you're all staying safe. My name's Andy. I'm Jenna.

And this is a wrestling podcast. Sometimes it's another podcast, masquerading as a wrestling podcast, but we'll try and keep the talk to wrestling and not to the upload or match it. So, I hope you've already been an insane week. So, if we take it from like Sunday to Sunday, what a crazy week in the world of pro wrestling.

Full of time. Something that we're obviously going to get on to, but what a week to be a UK wrestling fan. I know they probably did their UK tour, let me know what we do today. Probably a bit of shit, but a Smackdown in London, a Money in the Bank in London.

I mean, if you're going to do it, you're going to do it and Axel went to both of it. Yeah, I think he went to both. Andy's doing all in as well. Sweet.

What a time to be alive. This is it. What a time to be alive. So, so to go all the way back to Sunday, I watched for a bit in our life.

So, I did end up staying up and watching it because I was coming over and having an hour in. Or I was going to do that. Talk to yourself into it. I don't know why I've actually just fucking do it straight away.

Really enjoyed the show. I enjoyed the mix of commentary teams. So, I enjoyed like Kevin Kelly being on there. I thought it was a nice, why have I deleted all my notes?

I thought it was a nice little touch to have the Japanese commentary team there as well. That was really cool. I thought the kickoff show was brilliant because it had some really big stars like Shingo and Tana Hashi, Heromu, not, um, uh, I can't remember, Jesus can't remember his face, man. But it had a lot of people on it that I was like, Oh my God, this is really cool.

And a lot of the matches felt quite big. Osprey, Omega, George, yes, I will go there. This Tiger Driver, no, doesn't need it. Anybody telling me, I've seen so many people arguing about this Tiger Driver spot and going, Oh, it was amazing.

No, no, no, no. If you took that Tiger Driver out, this is what everybody should always ask themselves. So Tiger Driver spot out is the much better or worse. That is, it's neither.

It's the same. It's the same much. Yes, it resulted in a cool near near fall, but Will could have done anything and got a cool near fall. He didn't need to drop Omega on his fucking head.

And he's, Omega's like announced for dynamite this week. I mean, we'll talk about fucking Lazarus is AKA staying in a minute. But like that could have broken the fuckers neck. And yeah, he did put him down dead soft.

You know, there was no kind of downward momentum to it. But he went from mid high to his head. And you know, and it was, it was like back at the back of his neck. So he saw a crayon his neck.

So it doesn't look as dangerous. I think as people making out, but there's no need for it. Absolutely no need for it. Just like the one bit that I did see from dynamite, there was no need for Ishi and Moxley to start headputting each other.

So I don't know, you can breathe on Moxley and he's caught open. But no, why are we doing this? So Shabbata, the reason why he had a fucking brain hemorrhage is because his move was a headbutt. And he had any clash that was fucking head off somebody.

So that's why he had a fucking bleed on the brain and nearly died. No, we don't need it. And these moxies are amazing without that. You know, the fantastic spot with with Osprey, where Osprey hit the one winged angel on Kenny.

Kenny kicked out at one. You know, nobody's kicked out at one ring. He kicked out at one. It was the crowd went, the crowd needed a shout out just for just being fantastic for all that amount of time.

Did run out of a bit of steam for the main event. Yeah, it was a five hour show. You know, it's it's a five hour show and it's not like, and this is no disrespect to WWE. But you know, it's a different it's a different animal, it's a different thing.

Those machis were like intense. There was only a couple of breaks, like as in like piss break matches. They were intense all the way through. Sting, love you mate, but fucking hell, stop.

I've not seen what you did on dynamite, but I've heard we don't need it. So Sting, because you didn't see it, Sting gets cluttered by Samagavira. And he's like, concussed because he's missing spots. He had a table spot where Sami was supposed to move.

He didn't and got fucking obliterated. And then 10 seconds later he was in the ring running wild. But missing stuff and like he got out of the ring. He sat on the ring.

It wasn't as bad, but it was like that fucking rich player match. I was like, it was scary. Then Jericho at the press conference takes all these fucking out on the wall. It's not funny.

He was bleeding. But it is funny. And apparently on dynamite, he's having a sexy match with Sting and Jericho. And he's fucking coming off a ladder through a table.

It's 62. He's 62. Come out, do the cheer, beat your chest, sting a splash. That's all I need at this point.

It's last like, since he turned up in AW, that body of work, to me, is going to go down in history. Because of all the shit. And I know it's a lot of it is the people he's in there with catching him when he's fucking jumping off like 62 year old jumping off a fucking arena. He's insane.

I love him for it. But I want him to just all wrestle. I want him to just be safe first. Some of these spots, like the Tiger driver is literally like pedigree position up down.

And he was like, there's an awful lot though, I think in AW look like pressure, because it is seen as like the wrestlers wrestling show. Yeah. And I do think there's a lot of like up in the ante and feeling like you have to up the ante compared to what you did last time. And not so much.

I don't know. I just think that's the vibe of the place. It's always about like, how do we get made this better? And there at such a level where the only thing left they've got to do is hurt each other and cut each other.

Like legit. Yeah. Yeah. And I don't mean like, oh, let's fucking try and break each other's necks.

I just mean like, oh, we've got to make this a look, Matt. So then inevitable, you end up getting hurt because you go in, you're tucking it step further and a step further every single time. And it seems to me like, I think there's always been that guy. So it's like, yeah, it's hard to tell him not to.

Yeah, it is. And the thought could be the guy to tell him not to. Because he comes across as such a nice flow. So nice.

And just like, yeah, I'm here, you know, I'm having a good time. Like, you know, big enough, Darby's saying this is one of the backgrounds of my career and all this stuff. And it is legit one of the best ones of his career. But I don't want him to do anything where, you know, in 10 years time, he's going to be fucking not going to be able to enjoy his life.

Because I still watch 70 year old Sting turn up every now and again, it's only eight years away. Sting just turns up, you know, then he really will be hopefully much of his fucking still jumping off shit, you know, because he looks amazing for 62. It's a really mad precedent for every rest of the world. I think I can do this until I'm 70 years old.

But Jericho's just like, yeah, Jericho's a spring chicken comparison. So yeah, I really enjoyed it. I mean, Brian, broke his arm. But he's got to be out.

He said he's going to be out of action for like eight weeks, which is convenient because that's apparently the time you can come back is the weekend of all in. Okay. So it's like that's, but you know, and that was an accident. A card comes off the top rope with an elbow.

He had his arm in the wrong position. A card along the other side. But for the rest of the match, it's like hanging down by side. He goes over 10 minutes, gets the Lebel lock, gets the Lebel lock in and doesn't use his arm.

He's just like pulling his leg around and he's a fucking professional. He's out and that press conference afterwards, again, perfect. He sat there with casts going, yeah, great, great. I really like Brian's press conferences.

Yeah, because they totally told the line and he says things that sound out of Kfa but they're actually in things like, you know, I don't know if it was before or after when he was talking about a card is music is like all the coin drops and you know, everyone thinks, Oh, it's cool. It's the rainmaker. And he's like, I fucking hate that because I grew up poor. You know, here's this guy talking about money and amazing.

Really good. And he's thanking all puncture just fucking just be a mouthpiece or Brian, Brian, you just be like, right, this is what you're saying when he needs to be a knob, you know, just just just seeing him put me to learn how to be a human being. And Daniel Brian is the perfect example of that person in that situation. So like company man saying, Oh, amazing, AWS, thank you, Tony, for the opportunity.

This is Brian fucking Daniel soon. Thank you, thank you for the opportunity, you know, you know, thanking all the journalists for coming and not giving them shit all the time. Like, Oh, yeah, fucking fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. I don't think we'll talk about it much for the show.

So yeah, I really enjoyed it. Like I want to go back and watch it again. Yeah. I thought MJF with Tahaashi was a particular so MJF at the moment is really ticking all the boxes for me.

Because it's quite clear Tahaashi now is like struggling. Yeah, like he's practically immobile. On Dynamite was it dynamite was it rampage that he faced serve? He goes up for the high five flow, which is like his splash finisher falls off, swerve doesn't act.

I don't know if I said this on the on the last show. Fucking sees it. He's up straight away, like, like recovery. And then like Tahaashi headbutt simply falls off.

He does it straightly deserved a fucking bonus for that. Because not a lot to that. That I think is a massive difference between if you're going to say like what's the main differences between like WWE and AW? It's I think AW recover better when this when a mistake happens.

Whereas WWE kind of like languishing it a little bit only for like another split second. Yeah, but enough for you to know. So like Tana Hashi falls and swears on his feet like running over to him like punching him. It's like, Oh, you know, he slips his cap out of his so you don't you don't get the time to think something's happening.

You do afterwards because Tana Hashi headbutt him and then hits it. So you know something's gone wrong, but throw all over it. And I think with like the sting match for Forbidden Door, he was missing so much. But the rest of him kind of got together and carried him through it a little bit because he's obviously out of it.

But yeah, so M. Jeff and Tana Hashi does a lot of comedy spots. There was a lot of like M. Jeff kind of like rising on the floor and when he was getting his breath back and it was just it was just great.

It's that that's the match you have to have with Tana Hashi in a situation like that. You know, the last amazing Tana Hashi match I saw was when he faced Shingo and he was doing like a bougie's finishes on him and stuff. That was incredible. But that was like two years ago.

And the guy, you know, he's hobbling down to the ring, you know, the crowd are like chanting go away. So all this kind of stuff, it's getting a little bit to that point where it's getting a little bit sad because he looks in so much pain all the time. Yeah, I don't like it. But you know, six months I came from here and out, please, no more, you know, spotlight title matches because it's just can't do it.

Can't do it. But yeah, the show kind of in general, I really liked. I didn't watch a lot of Dynamite or Rampage or collision. I've kind of seen bits.

I know it's punk Joe next week, which would be should be tasty. Punx chest can probably cook an egg after that one. Well, just this is all off the top of my head. The MJF Adam Cole stuff, I think, is hilarious.

I saw I played it to you as well. I saw it on Twitter like MJF rang him during his gaming stream. I think we should do like a double close light. I didn't see it, but there was apparently like a bit on Dynamite or one of them where Max is like, oh, let's go and party, let's bond.

And he's like, it's like, we're not going to stay here and watch a wrestling show. How are we coming? Do you know, so that was quite good. Well, yeah, that's kind of everything I've seen.

Have you seen like anything kind of like in passing or? No, I'll be honest. Nothing, nothing. Nothing.

No, that's all. It's been one of them weeks. Yeah, I think it has been because I've not been like, I know it's paying the answer, isn't it? I just got better at that.

I just got new talent on, but it needs to go down badly. It's a small one. Any. A lot of tech anything.

A lot of small one. I've just already nailed to myself and it's about two inches long. I just need to get clicked down before I end up taking the eye out with it. So yesterday was money that I think.

Yes. From London. I did watch like a half an hour like highlight video, WWE poor, but he didn't tell you anything like hardly any finishes. That's a while, like a half an hour.

Yeah, it was just like bits and bobs and that kind of stuff, which is fair enough. Well, the main kind of thing that I saw coming out of this was Cena did a surprise appearance. Yeah. So he kind of, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.

I need to get rid of it. Yeah, I don't know why. To be a list. What about what?

With those nails are just ginormous. No, I didn't realize they'd be quite so big. I would have kept some big book, can't type. That's a good point.

Can't type a big nails. So that's about the piece, guys. Clippies, give me. So Cena surprise appearance.

Yeah. Played you the video that crowd. So before we go into what he was actually saying, that crowd response was insane. I know that was not styling.

And it was a, as far as I can tell, it was a legit shock and it sounds like a legit shock like when the music starts. So the big thing, again, affecting potentially UK wrestling fans is that Cena comes out and he does a whole bit of London needs a WrestleMania. So since that, he obviously labored the point on the show. Since that COD in the press conference said London needs a WrestleMania.

Triple H said that the Money in the Bank show, and it's funny how when people start talking about Gates, WWE don't have, so it's a press conference. They don't have like an original bone in their bodies. So now they're taught they're doing press conferences, which they have been for a while. Now they're talking about Gates.

So like, some Money in the Bank is their highest grossing arena gate of all time. Right. Shit. Of all time, apparently, according to them, which we know they like to fudge a number sometimes.

But I believe it, because you've got a lot of UK fans in a building, it would have sold out really quick. You could have been flated in the ticket prices. I don't know what the gate is because I think clicking to the article. So with Cena saying they want a WrestleMania to come to London, the question is twofold basically.

One, will they? Two, has AW doing all in open to the door for a WrestleMania in Bumbly? So my thoughts on this, when you showed me that video and all I saw was the bit of him coming out and then him saying, Oh, London needs a WrestleMania and everyone goes nuts. I thought he was just doing it to sweeten the crowd and just be Cena and be like, Oh, it's great here.

You're guy to the best, don't you guys need WrestleMania? And then when I watched the longer one where Australian guy came out and they say it's kind of like labor and the point again, I thought, hang on, this is part of the show. And if it's part of the show, nothing is, you know what the life saying, they would never say something if they weren't going to do it, in my opinion. I know that's not me saying that they always get the promise it is at all.

But when it's that deliberate and you're bringing Cena out to be the one who says it, like it's 100% gonna happen. 100%. So I think they will announce it for 2025. If the what hasn't been anything announced already, the moment I looked at the news like half an hour before we came on and nothing's been announced now.

I think it will. And I do think it's down to AW. I think it's down to two things. AW for sure, because they would all love to break their record.

I think it would be the love to break that record, whether it be the biggest gate in terms of the tickets, because tickets are probably a lot more expensive for the FASTEST sellout, which I think you probably would start up quite quick, because Europe, it's so much easier. We know Europeans go to America every year for WrestleMania. So I think there's that element of it. The AW is like 70% of the reason.

I think the 30% is the influence of the who bottom who acquired them. Indiver. Yeah, I think. Yeah, because of the successes of doing shows like...

Oh, UFC London. That's what I mean. They're making bank on them. UFC London.

I think that's another reason why. I think it's a bit like you need to capitalize. If you're talking about money here, you're gonna make, you know, is the numbers for you do it in, I mean, Texas is about example, because that was their biggest gate. So Texas was the last, was it was all, so all in a surpassed WrestleMania 32, and that was their biggest.

So that's the highest grossing wrestling wrestling show, and that's a past it. Yeah, so I think that there's a bit like, right, we could do it at this part of America, or we could do it in New York again, or we could do it in London, and we could make this much money, and it'll come down to cash, and it'll be like, shit, we can make the 2025 WrestleMania will make us even more money. And then maybe you have got the blueprint and going, oh, if we have WrestleMania in Australia, which is obviously that guy who's saying it'll make this much money, we have WrestleMania in Dubai, it'll make this much money. So it's like, it all comes down to cash.

I think the new owners, you can call it owners, have a big hand in it in terms of like the international appeal, because UFC feels very global, WWE feels very American, and UFC's born in America, but it doesn't feel American when it's when they're doing like Paris and, but that's not American. But neither are they in WWE, predominantly America, but you know, it's always been a mixed bag of people from all over the world, and they've all got their own big fan bases. So it's like, let's make this company now feel global and not just feel American. And it follows on from what I was saying last week about the TV stuff, when I was like, oh, it makes sense in America to be on TV, because that's sporting America is such a big thing on their channels.

But I think the owners are thinking bigger for WWE, and they are thinking like, you need to, this is too American, and there's money to be made across the globe, you need to start spreading this shit out to make it even more profitable, because it's all about profits, and they will be more profitable if they do expand. I've got to say, and we touch upon this, if I was American, it pissed me off. So it's just started being talk of WrestleMania being in different countries, because it is such, it be like saying the Super Bowl is going to be in London. I don't know, I just, I think it is, according to essentially American thing, and we've said this before of like, any other show for South stadium, it could do Royal Rumble, word Royals in it, said it, we've said it all the time, they could do that every single year in London, and make it like, yeah, no one can give a shit.

Yeah, no one cares, they'd be like, yeah, Royal Rumble makes perfect sense. It's a massive pay-per-view, people in the UK can, you know, I will get a real great fucking stadium that's covered up because of membership, but it's like, I don't, I personally don't think, I don't think they should do it WrestleMania, I think that should be in America. It should stay in America, and I find it quite weird, because I see it as quintessentially American WrestleMania, but I think that that's why the new ownership comes in, it's like this needs to stop this Americana shit, because you're missing out on, particularly with Mania, you're missing out on so much money, and so many, much bigger audience, and record breaking. The rabbit fan base as well, so since the takeover, they've done that Puerto Rico stuff, that crowd was unreal, that crowd, if you said, you know, like the, because I watched like a couple of highlights from the SmackDown, like when people are singing some of his songs, and you know, just what you'd expect from London crowd, that Puerto Rico crowd was the same, they were rabid, they were into everything, and we've kind of said on the show for years, you know, you've got your wrestling staples, like your Chicago's, your Philly, your New York, you know, where those rabbit fan bases are, but then they'll go to like, you know, some fucking backwater town, and Raw would be a little bit weak, and it feels like they kind of, they kind of hold him back, you know, the good stuff for when they go back to like a Chicago, and where that crowd is like really impactful, Puerto Rico was just like off the chain, mad, if they went to Germany, because Germany's got a massive culture of wrestling, the crowd would be insane, and they do tour Germany, which isn't really interesting, because I've never seen them, they probably have done, but I've never seen them do like Spain, Italy, like a Raw or something, well, they've not done a Raw, they only do like, from the UK as their live shows, but even like I've seen them do shows in Germany, but I've never seen them do like Italy, Spain, it's mad, it's probably hard, but because you know, you might not see that, because you obviously don't live there, but you see the German one, because Germany's like a massive wrestling culture.

But there's no reason why they couldn't do a WrestleMania, Jesus, why they couldn't do like Raw and SmackDown tapens in Germany, and I think this is what's going to start to change, I think they'll follow the UFC by going everywhere, and filming from everywhere, showing that it's not a set, you know, it's not a set thing, it's a move, it's a global brand, so therefore it's like a Raw from Abu Dhabi, because they've got that. I think that's where it's headed, to just try and really cement to everyone, that it isn't just this American thing that you all have to either fly over or wait until it happens to tour around your book in country, which could be like once every few years, or come and do a show there, like Australia get fuck off, I mean I think they do like the other saw, they have a show, they have a show, they have a show, but it's like, you should do more shows out there, it's like all this meets Raw's in Paris, why not, this which was in fucking Frankfurt, India, there's no reason why not, because we don't need the crowd, doesn't matter if the crowd out, don't speak English, doesn't recommend, does it? I mean I know we're not a big fan of like the Saudi shows, but what kind of Saudi shows, like that's got like, I mean you have to go like 30 or 40 rows back, away from all the delegates, delegates, dem fans are rabid, you know, they have the fireworks going off, they're all fucking losing this shit, you know, underseeker comes out, they're losing it, you know, there's these, because I think as well because like with the America thing, we know from Seeker drink, from going, it's a very European flavour, because a lot of the travel packages, like 50% of the tickets are travel packages, so 50% of those people in those, in that stadium are Europeans, so that's why it's got a European like singy flavour, that's why the Raw after Mania was always so great, not anymore, you know, because that's why they would do loads of stuff, because the actual, because I've never seen this before, but like WWE put up a video of like best crowd chants from SmackDown, and they never usually do that, and they never normally do that, and they've seen a thing of, they think you guys disrupt the show, they think you guys try and hijack the show, like we've always said like that's such a good part of it though, they're still into what's going on, but you know, that's, it's another layer, there's another layer of being into it, when you're chanting, you're singing along, and it's a cultural thing with like football, like you they're singing, but you're still watching the match, like you're not, you're not trying to like make the show about you, it's all just about like the camaraderie of the show and everything, yeah, and it's showing appreciation for him doing it because it's so rare that we do it, so from my sort of side of it, and I saw an interesting thing before, again, the great non-conferment Meltzer was talking about it apparently, and the reason why they did clash at the castle in Cardiff is because Cardiff paid them to do it, they wanted to do that in London, but London wouldn't pay them, so that's the difference we've got here, so all in, they've literally just put a show on at Wembley Stadium to do a show, so they've not been paid to go and do that, they've booked the show, like you would expect, they'd booked a show, and then sell the tickets and do what they do from there, WWE with WrestleMania expects to get paid to go to that city, so that's why they have a city's bidding on it, and London have bid on it in the past, because I remember like the time, I don't know if it was just before we went or just after it for a few, like afterwards it was like, oh, the people that are in the running are London, you know, New Orleans, so the reason why they do these is because they're in America, and they've not decided to do one since, do one outside of America since is because they bid on it, and the highest bid wins, that's who gets it every year, they're not saying, okay, this year we're going to do LA, they're going, okay, who's going to pay us most money, LA, we're going to do it in LA, so London, give them a middle finger, and say we ain't paying you to come and do a show, why would we do that, we have, you know, it's not like, it's probably why they got straight out the Eurovision race as well, like on a separate note, well yeah, yeah, well they don't get paid to do that, it's like no, we're not paying you to come and do a show, you know, look at, and then we've got AWS like the case in point of, they've booked a show, sold $65,000, Wembley that week will have shows on that have more than $65,000 in there, so why the fuck would they allow WWE to take it up for a weekend for our entire week, and then, but also pay them for the privilege, no, of course they're not going to do it, whereas some of the other places where, you know, these stadiums are like in the middle of nowhere, you know, like with ours, we have to get a bus for like 40 minutes out of Orlando to get to the stadium, there's nothing going on around it, so that's a bit of tourism, it's a bit of, you know, they see it as a bit of an extra thing, it brings X amount of dollars into this, outside football season as well, for these stadiums, yeah, outside of football season, it brings dollars in, it brings claim, everybody who's watching it is looking upon their city, you know, that kind of stuff, London doesn't need that claim, you know, there'll be things going on in Wembley Stadium that'll sell out that we'll never even hear of, you know, so they don't need to do that, so unless to me, unless WWE changes that philosophy, WrestleMania isn't going to London, but because they're talking about it so much, I think they are stubborn enough to go, we'll take a hit on WrestleMania this year just to break AEW's record, because that's the whole reason why Clash in the Castle was a thing, because AEW was rumoured to do a stadium show in the UK, so then they flipped and booked Clash, tried to book something like straight away, and yeah, Clash in the Castle was great, it was great for, you know, for UK fans to see that, it sold out, it was a big crowd, but that was a reaction to AEW saying, they want to do a UK tour and they want to do a UK show, the fact that they've gone second now and they've still surpassed what WWE did is incredible, because when you say you were like in the boardroom and you go, okay, so we're WWE, we've got all these brands like Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, Money in the Bank, AEW sold over 65,000 tickets for a show, not a paper, not, it's just all in, it's like back to the first ever show they did before it was AEW, and it was like an hour or eight side thing, all in, they've just called it all in, it's just a random show, they've got All Out, which is the actual paper view that we capture in Chicago. So this is just like a glorified house show, this will be like Forbidden Door 3, you'll have some new Japan people on it and you know, it's just because Forbidden Door, he doesn't need that much booking or that much integral kind of work to go into storylines or anything like that, it just needs a match card, everybody's in, a card versus Brian Danielson, yes please, you know that's all it needs, so if you're in the boardroom at WWE and you go right, they've done 65,000 tickets for a one-off show, that's a bit like a you know, Fastlane, it's just a random show, what if we called it WrestleMania, how, over two days, how many seats could we do, they could be 100,000 in there, it can be set up for 100,000, you know if you just limit the stage in a little bit and just have it as you know, all the seats behind all the seats in and then obviously the floor ones, there's 90,000 seats around the pitch, right, so you can easily get another 10 on the floor, yeah you can easily get another 10,000 on the floor but then it's where you put the stage, how many seats is that blocking and all that kind of stuff, well of course it would, but I, to be honest I can't see them doing it, I can see them doing a WrestleMania in the UK and whoever the highest bidder is, is the highest bidder, yeah, because I don't think they need to break the record in London, they just need to break the record.

What's the biggest stadium in the UK? I mean the top number one's pretty big, but they don't need a big stadium technically, it's how petty do they want to go basically, in my opinion, because I'm like you, they should do Royal Rumble, I'm sure it has a roof on it, a roof that can come out, if it can't, I'm pretty sure it's got a roof that can close, because I think I'm on a YouTube binge once I remember watching some guy jump over the gap, yeah so I think there is a retractable roof, so it doesn't matter the time of year you do it, but obviously Wembley doesn't get used for sport events around January and all that kind of stuff, you know, who knows, but I just, I think they're stubborn enough to do it, but I don't think they, so this year's WrestleMania they're going to do everything in their power to break that gate, everything in their power to break it, they'll give the big borrowing steal to get that gate higher than what AWS was, because it's a similar show as well, you know, WrestleMania's over two days, it's like 40 million, whereas this one's like eight, so it's like just over a couple of hundred thousand others like you know that's that's the pittance that we're talking about, I just can't, I can't see them doing WrestleMania in London, I just think I think it's too much of a stretch, like you know they're talking about it, it's not how much they're talking about it that I just don't think that Hammer the Point that much, if it wasn't happening, I think if this year's WrestleMania hadn't been announced I would be more inclined to think yes if they are going to do it, but because they've got so much time, because it's like, if they, you know, I can't remember when they decide when the next one is, but let's say, I don't even know where the next one is, what's that? Now, what else looks like I was wondering that? So say you've got like a few cities, and you've got like, you know, Boston, New York, Philly, they're on the shortlist for 25, and you're hearing all this noise coming out about London, and you're like, well Jesus, you know, if we, if we, if it's in Philly, okay cool, so we'll change Philly to New Orleans, and you're hearing all the noise coming out about London, potentially, you know, they're not picked 25, you're like, we know we're close to doing that, yeah, they would, in my opinion, they would then go to WWE and say, right, well, what are you doing for London then?

Like, are you doing it in London? Like, what's the financial package all right for London? And they can go always XM hours, dollars, you know, we're getting paid to do it, let's say, you know, because they're not to tell the truth, do they? We know that we know that we're here, like, you know, New Orleans can go, okay, we'll give you five million dollars more than that.

Then they're going to New Orleans, doesn't matter how much they talk it up, it all comes down to, for me, how petty are they? Do they want to go in so heavily and smash the AWS, smash AWS show apart? Do they want to do that more than they want to make money? Because I think in Devo would look at it and be like, why are you even asked about these people?

The UFC isn't asked about Bellator. No, and I think the new ownership, I would have thought that AWS thing would be like, not even on their radar. Or it doesn't show them that they can do it, because they're a bigger brand. Minneapolis is a finalist to host in 2025.

It's not confirmed. Is there any other finalists? There's a lot of Minneapolis, I don't know why they're not saying all the places, I'm going to try and find out. So if you're Minneapolis and you're like, we are pretty much guaranteed to get it, we've been told we're going to get it.

Now you're talking about London, are you doing it in London? They said, well, you know, the financial package is looking pretty good for London. Okay, well, what are they giving you? Oh, they're giving us $10 million, right?

We'll give you $15. Fuck it, we're giving you $15. Because I can't remember a vessel, you're in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Is Minneapolis, Minnesota, if you're looking at it from Endeavour's point of view, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Minnesota, London, Wembley.

What's going to bring more eyes to it? Because people are still going to look at WrestleMania, Minnesota would be like a side thing. It'd be like, why are you doing it in Minnesota when you could do it in New York? Like that, because more eyeballs would be on New York, because it's New York.

100%. So why do it in Minneapolis? But then they'd say, well, we'll give you more money to go in Minneapolis. Well, it says, Minneapolis is a finalist to host WrestleMania 41 in 2025, but it's not confirmed.

President COB, NFL's Tennessee Titans recently stated that WWE is committing WrestleMania 43 to Nashville in 2027. So it's saying, could we see 42, 2026 be London, if Minneapolis- That's too long, that's too far away. Yeah, they wouldn't be talking about it now. They just absolutely would not be talking about it.

Would you feel like they've got to talk about it now, because of all it? I mean, again, we're down to that Petino's aspect, because aren't we? Like, it's down to like, do they want to take the shine away? Yeah.

From, you know, is that the aim? And if so, then? Of course, everything they do is that. Like, booking NXT pay per views during a AW1, the whole thing has been petty.

You know, AW are not no shrinking violence in this as well. They're just as bad by rising to it and whinging about it. It's not just ignoring them. There's enough of this party to go around.

You know, you don't have to be like, but when you, when you said this before, we were like, constantly trying to fuck with his business. It's hard. WWE are still in the courts with NLW about getting them to offer TV network. That's still going on.

Dave made motions to like, dismiss it seven times and seven times have been rejected. So there is a case there about tapping up people like Swirloom, like their wrestlers that were under contract, saying to the network that was going to run an old W, you got to kick him off, and he did. So there's all that kind of shit going on. So we know how much they like to fuck with other people's business and that's MLS.

You know, it's not a massive, you know, you're talking like less than CNN numbers, but MLS would be doing. But like, I see him as being that petty, but it doesn't need to be a WrestleMania. It could be, I think it could easily be a Royal Rumble, as long as that does a, a refund, remember, they could easily do that and they could smash. But then, then you'll look at it and say, do we want to smash an attendance record or a get with anything over the WrestleMania, because any for Royal Rumble smashes the gate and it's like, well, all time, the highest grossing WWE event, what single day event, I mean, that's how they get around it, single day event, or like Royal Rumble, highest single day, Royal Rumble, in the UK, well, WrestleMania doesn't pull that and that's the biggest show in the year.

It's not the best of looks. So that's probably why to me, what I would do is I'd probably do WrestleMania and then do Royal Rumble every year afterwards, not every year, but you know, like most years afterwards, because Clash did really well. Did? Yeah.

I think it's very unexpected that whole like, Cena coming out, talk about doing WrestleMania in London, which was his MO, that was his job. His job on the night was to come out and say, how about WrestleMania in London? That was literally his job, that's why you got flown in to do a run out to say that. Which is when you put it like that, that is the most unexpected thing.

If you would have paused it when he came out and said, what do you think he's going to say? He's not wrestling, what do you think he's going to say? I'd be like, he's going to retire. He's going to retire from wrestling and it's going to be London, it's going to be the night where he said, I'm never wrestling again.

That'd be the most likely thing. And he could take, I could be sat in room for a fucking hundred years before I said, let's say, he's going to ask, he's going to not slice the crowd off, he's going to do the opposite and say, I'm in there. And then he's going to say that there's going to be, well, wouldn't it be great if there was WrestleMania London and that's it? That's his main message.

That's so unexpected. Because the code you think afterwards, even saying that London deserves a WrestleMania. I don't wonder what John Cena knows, that's what he said. So it's like, everything's kind of, there's always no smoke without fire.

But is that, again, is it a leverage to look at how much news we created saying that there could potentially be a WrestleMania in London? Do you want to pay us now? That's literally what I was going to say next, and what I've been thinking of, if they've had a meeting with London folks and they've gone, oh, we wouldn't pay you. They've got, okay.

And then go and watch this. And it's a very dense thing to do that. It's like, well, I've announced it now. And this is how much you owe us.

But why would that, see, this is the sticking point for me. And I can't, to be honest, I can't understand it for American stadiums either. But why would they pay you to do a show? Because I know the Saudis pay to do a show.

And then that was instantly the most profitable thing they've ever done. But why would Minnesota, let's say for next year, go to WWE and say, or please, please WWE come and do this big show in our stadium. We'll pay you to do it. When Taylor Swift could do tonight, so I'm probably sorry, I'll both nice.

No, I don't get it. I mean, maybe it's just that whole like hangover from Super Bowl. Does it work that way for Super Bowl? Like, do they, do they bid to host it?

And it's just a sport thing that happens in America. You know, maybe it's quite a common thing when it comes to like sports where you bid for it. And there's a fucking some reason that the state has in regards to finances where it's really valuable to them puts their place on the map. You know, maybe they want to publicize some great work they're doing in the state.

And it's like, I mean, it's a lot of money, I would think. Yeah. Because that's the thing was like, like Orlando, you know, yes, there was like, what, like 60 or 1000 extra people you could say, or maybe 50 or 1000 extra people and the rest of the tickets are like the local area all around the area. Orlando's got the Disney parks, it's got universal.

Do they need, do they need anything to give them a bump in tourism? I mean, that maybe it's political. And it's just something that, you know, is there is some like, mad American politics, state shit. Do you know what I mean?

I don't know. I mean, it's obviously something that we, we're not pretty to and don't understand because I would think that it would be WWE going out asking them. I wouldn't think people would bid for it. I mean, you understand people kind of bidding for the Olympics because that really is like a huge bump for a long period of time.

There's a lot of people in your host city, like the shit loads. And it's gives you a chance to showcase yourself as a country. Yeah, what you can do and come and visit also don't know. I don't know whether it's a tourist thing or what, but it's, it's interesting.

It's fairly interesting. Well, apparently Triple H waited in on the press conference. I'm just seeing that come up now. So he said he was first asked about the potential for us in London.

And he thanked John Cena saying he's put him in an unenviable position. He said that having WrestleMania in London would be tough saying I wish it was that easy. However, their recent international success with other pay per view events this year bodes well for international. And he finished by saying never saying ever and the intent is there.

So we say that to the UK media like the intent is that it's not that easy. So basically it's like them saying WWE want to do it, but will London, you know, facilitate it? That's what I think like, you know, pressuring, pressuring like London to say, you know, the fans want it. Everybody wants it.

You know, you're going to have to pay us the money. And I understand. I just can't get me a drum. The idea of you payers to go and do a show for you.

We keep all the tickets say on money. We keep, if they, if London was like, we'll give you $30 million, but we keep all the tickets. Yeah, I understand that beside of it. Yeah, it's like a week, week, week, the ticket sales, we keep the, you know, the sales of SmackDown Raw and all that from around the area from the old, so all that kind of stuff, but we just give you $30 million.

So in the end, that might only cost him like a couple million quid. Yeah. And that would be kind of worth it to do that just to, just to do it. Because it's like, you know, it's got a two million quid of all this exposure, whatever.

It's an interesting one, because I suppose that the probably the next interesting part of it is, would you go? In London? Yeah. I think so.

I think I probably would, because it's right there. Yeah. That's what WrestleMania is, because we've not gone to all in. No, I know that.

But we weren't watching wrestling. So do you think you've all in got announced now for like November, you'd be more attempted? Maybe. Yeah, maybe.

Right now what puts me off is just the cash, literally. It's not the show, and I know what you said last time, you know, you really want to go with me, having a nerve to go. Yeah. You don't have to be in your position.

But we are in a slightly different position in that we we've got a trick that we've got butts that needs painful in January. If we had nothing on at all and nothing to pay for, I probably would have got tickets and just gone and sat back. But I think because of that, I'm like, I know that this, and it's not really a part of the world that I'm that asked about being in at the moment. Yeah.

Yeah. Like, I don't really want to be around Wembley and staying around Wembley. I don't really that asked about being in Central England. No.

Like, I don't remember asked about £850 tickets go and watch Book of Mormon. You know, that's sort of shit where it's like, it's just not appealing to my sensibilities right now. I'll tell you what, if it was in Dublin, I'd go. I'd probably be like, you know what, fuck it.

And that'd probably end up costing us more. But I'd be like, fuck it. That'd be worth it because it would be nice. If it was in Edinburgh, I'd probably go.

But London right now is just not really appealing to me as a place that I ought to be. Yeah. And the thing with me with all in as well, it's like, I don't want to, the biggest kind of turn off for me with all in is I would, in an ideal sort of situation I'd know what I spend a week in London. I'd see a couple of shows and you're talking like a grand-in-half, maybe two grand for that kind of trip.

And that's what I would want to do. I'm not prepared to go for the day, stay in a cheap hotel overnight and then come back like just for that show. I'd want to do a few things around it as well. Whereas I think WrestleMania, because that's going to be a two night thing.

Like, I'm not interested in SmackDown Raw, not interested in NXT, no Hall of Fame, no. Not interested in any of that. But if WrestleMania would say over a Saturday and a Sunday, I would be inclined to do the hard miles, so to speak, going up on the Saturday, staying in a cheap hotel, watching it on Sunday as well, and then maybe even getting the overnight bus back. I would be up for doing that because it's WrestleMania.

Yeah, yeah. And there's a different kind, which is interesting because I prefer a w as a wrestling product. But that's more of a always a two day thing. Where is it like, so it's all in like a Saturday.

I don't know. So I'm not prepared to spend like, you know, five hours on a bus there, five hours on a bus back and not stay overnight, but I'm staying overnight and waxing over to an equivalent. So you're looking at a 400-quick trip of the cheapest you can possibly do it. Yeah.

And you know, we know from our conversations of things that we want to do, we can do things that are a lot cheaper than that, that are a lot grander, in my opinion. But the WrestleMania thing, you know, you can pay them a certain amount of money they can give you, they travel because Americans will buy the travel package. Canadians, they'll buy that travel package, just people in Orlando may have bought the travel package for the hotel. It's good value.

Like, I don't know how it looks now, but back then, it was really, really good value. Yeah. I think we got gold. Yeah.

Because there was no bronze, it just went silver. Yeah, it was like silver. There was silver, but with the silver, you could drop things out if you wanted to. Yeah.

You could drop NXT out, you could drop. Because that's why NXT wasn't full. We didn't even get a SmackDown, we bought that separate. But yeah, we took SmackDown off it.

Yeah. And then went for what we do in it. We got cheats again. We were behind the stage.

Halfway up the ramp is when you could see the wrestlers. So any shock, like when Nakamura came out, the only reason why we knew that was because we could hear the dude playing the violin. That's literally all I can remember. That's true.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And that kid.

Not bad yet. I don't know if he has any kids to leave the show, if he could go and get his car. And he wasn't even close to being finished. So yeah, I think I would do that because you can just give them the money.

And it's kind of all sorted. All you're doing is sorting your travel out then. And there's ways and means around doing that. Yeah.
