From the time we are small girls and boys we are asked what we want to do when we grow up. As we grow older we start comparing grades and asking what did you get on the assignment or that test? As younger adults and older adults we remain true to the framework of WHAT in our surface conversation - what’s new and what are you up to these days. Over the years I have experienced many what’s in connection with my fitness goals and endeavours: what is your max bench, what do you do for abs or shoulders...etc etc. We need to free ourselves from this mediocre question and start asking other people AND ourselves “WHY?”.
