214A: Exodus part 16: What's a Commandment?

Exodus 19: 1-8, 16-20 Today we hear Moses called to the top of Mount Sinai where God gives him the 10 commandments. We learn what a commandment is. Next week, we'llgo through the 10 commandments and hear what they are but today, we will focus on why we even have them. God gave them and us these 10 rules which showed how life worked best. We begin to understand that rules are there to protect us b/c God loves us.
