#216 EXPERIMENTAL LOOPS

(216 Experimental Loops) Tracklisting: djrobbieduncan.com/elecsoul This DJ set is a exploration of rhythmic loops and fragmented melodies, blending iconic tracks into an experimental tapestry of sound. Each loop is carefully selected to create an immersive narrative that bridges cosmic jazz, classic disco, electro-funk, early hip-hop, and post-punk. Featuring loops from artists like Sun Ra, Blondie, Herbie Hancock, and Whodini, the set transforms the original tracks into an entirely new listening experience. Pulsing basslines from Wax the Van and First True Love Affair intertwine with the raw energy of This Is Radio Clash and the ethereal funk of Moody. Glimpses of Rapture’s spoken-word breakdown merge seamlessly with the robotic pulse of Problèmes d'amour, while Lady Bug and Take Your Time bring soulful, danceable rhythms into the mix.
