217. The 10 Types of People You Meet in Bars

For his birthday a few years back, Dan's mother gave him two gifts: a copy of Mitch Albom’s best-seller The Five People You Meet in Heaven, and a gift certificate from a local skydiving company. He didn’t read the book, but he doesn’t need to read it to feel ripped off. Five people. That’s it? You’d think that after all the time and effort you put into churchgoing and praying and not coveting your neighbor’s butt, God would giveth up a tad more variety in the afterlife. What giveseth, Yahweh? Still, it got Dan thinking about bars (if you haven’t noticed, everything gets him thinking about bars).
