219 - Death of a Relationship

This week I ponder several conversations with men who are in the process of going through a divorce. I set those conversations against the ideal of having a strong marriage one that is a true partnership with each other and with God.   Honestly, I wrestled with how to discuss it in a way that all would benefit. I knew there are men who are happily married, divorced, widowed, going through a divorce  Top it off had two conversations with different men going through a divorce that made me even more sensitive to how to deliver it.  A couple of observations  * both started with “just friend” relationships on Facebook  * Have you become emotionally disconnected through Social media; bikinis, lingerie, porn * Be intentional with your relationship * I don’t go to lunch with other women for business. The women friends I have are our friends  * Know when to talk, when to listen, when to press an issue * 50/50, 100/100, 180/20 * You can do everything right and still the other person can make a choice that destroys your relationship * You be the strength. You be the anchor your kids need (she just wants attention) Relationships can be messy. They can be beautiful.
