22.06 Setting the Table of Christ and Culture (Part 10)

In today's episode, Craig and LaDonna Smith continue sharing the importance of getting biblical context right.  All people from all cultures who come to Christ must understand that the Bible presents the world in basically two distinct categories...the Jews and the Gentiles.  That's an important reality for people groups like North America's Indigenous people, who have tended to view all of life from a Native vs White perspective.  But all non-Jewish cultures fall under the banner of Gentile, or, uncircoumcisioned, which is a strange identifier until you know that God used this physical surgical practice to identify His covenant people with.  Having that proper understanding helps the Bible come alive in our minds and souls and helps us avoid the slippery slope into false interpretations of the Scriptures, something that is sorely lacking in today's world.  The Smiths remind us all that the great apostle, Paul, was called to the Gentiles as the first missionary of the New Testament sending church.  All those who follow in his footsteps sacrifice much to serve the Lord, and do so even when times get rough.  That's something Craig and LaDonna Smith know much about even to this day as they serve the Lord through the prism of great pain and suffering.  What they have to say is valuable information for any Indigenous person seeking to follow Jesus Christ in today's culture and chaos.
