22.52 Dr. Vern Charette - The Sufficiency of Scripture to Sanctify (Part 1)

Dr. Vern Charette comes once again to build on the foundation he already has laid on the sufficiency of Scripture to save.  Today, he expands the Scripture's impact in the doctrinal truth of the sufficiency of Scripture to Sanctify.  This doctrine means to be set apart by God for holy living.  It's the current work of the Word of God as applied in the life of each and every believer in Christ.  Salvation has a threefold impact on our lives including its past or previous work as we were saved,  in its current work as we are being saved, and in its future work as we will be saved.  That complete work is described as our Justification, Sanctification, and Glorification.  The ongoing work of sanctification in our lives enables us to live holy lives in alignment with the teachings of God's Holy Word.  It includes being separated from the old effects of sin in our lives and living in the power of His Holy Spirit for victorious Christian living.  Sanctification's effect on our lives also includes no compromise with sin as we live out a biblically healthy life in the context of our Indigenous cultures and communities.  It means we cannot and must not compromise God's Word in any way as we seek to honor Him in our daily lives.  It's an important doctrine for the believer and presented so well by brother Vern in this crucial message we all need to hear and apply in our lives.
