22 Being a new grad vet in practice

from Veterinary Clinical Podcasts · host Shailen Jasani

So you've made it through vet school, landed your veterinary degree, now what? It's the start of another phase in your lifelong journey! There are many things to consider as a new grad vet starting life in practice. In this podcast we discuss issues such as choosing your first job, coping with those early days seeing cases, sources of support and advice, the PDP (UK), internships and specialisation! I am joined in this podcast by Dr Tom Cardy who graduated in 2011 and is now a resident in Neurology & Neurosurgery at the QMHA. Tom has had an interesting and unusual working life to date which gives him some extra valuable insights.
