22. Dr. Kimberly Barclay & Dr. Lauren Jacobsen: Entrepreneurship in Dentistry with ToothBar Founders

#22. In this episode, we are interviewing Dr. Kimberley Barclay and Dr. Lauren Jacobsen. Dr. Barclay and Dr. Jacobsen are the cofounders of the American Dental Association's Design Innovation Award winning practice, Toothbar. These two female entrepreneurs have been celebrated on the cover of Dentaltown Magazine, highlighted in Forbes and Fortune Magazine’s Amazing Women issue, and featured in several dental publications. Leading with their passion for esthetics, Dr. Jacobsen and Dr. Barclay are accomplished cosmetic dentists as well as top 1% Diamond Invisalign providers. Both doctors are active leaders in the dental community as members of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Clear Aligners and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Dr. Barclay and Dr. Jacobsen share a unique bond in that they developed a business partnership forged out of a long standing friendship that began when they met in 2009 in dental school at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. Having worked alongside one another in a corporate dental setting for several years, Dr. Barclay and Dr. Jacobsen went on to leverage their gained insights and build their own private practice from scratch. In just five years since its opening, Toothbar has become Austin’s premier cosmetic dental practice, founded through a mutual desire to elevate the dental practice experience.
