Episode Description
This week I’m talking to Rosie Lawson.
I was actually introduced to Rosie from a previous interviewee from the podcast, Eva Paterson from Episode 9, so I’m looking forwards to getting to know Rosie during this conversation. She works with Eva and teaches at her studio space, Choose You Yoga and Wellness Hub, in Livingston, Scotland. As well as teaching yoga, Rosie is a coach and has a women’s membership group all about self development and self care incorporating coaching, yoga pranayama, meditation and all the tools we use to manage our lives.
In her LBY (Life Before Yoga), she worked in corporate medical sales for 25 years. This was a high stress job, so we’ll find out more about what that entailed and what led Rosie towards teaching yoga and becoming a coach. Prior to her career in medical sales, Rosie was also an intensive care nurse so she was very much used to working in adrenaline fuelled, high stress situations. I’ll ask her more about where she worked and what that life was like.
I know that Rosie went through a period of feeling burnt out and lost so I’m hoping she’ll be kind enough to share what that experience was like for her and how she navigated her way out of those feelings to maintain a focus on her goal of helping others.
Rosie also runs teacher training and has hosting breathing and relaxation meditation sessions online so I’ll find out more about this and how she has managed her business through the pandemic as well as what things look like for her going forwards.
I really hope you enjoy listening to my conversation with Rosie…
Rosie shared her favourite Savasana Sound and it was The Devi Prayer, but we’ve had that before (it was bound to happen) so she also suggested listening to the theme from the film Gladiator…I’m definitely giving that one a go.
Have a little listen to that and see what you think!
Listeners, please let Rosie know what you thought of the podcast - you can reach her by emailing [email protected] Her Facebook group is Rosie Lawson Coaching. If you’ve got any questions for her I’m sure she’ll be happy to answer them for you.
