They actually keep us stuck.Step #1 in Stop the Mind Screw is to analyze your self-talk and it is there for a reason!Kindra lays out 4 steps in choosing our stories. Those steps are 1. Catch, 2. Analyze, 3. Choose, 4. InstallBecause the stories we tell ourselves are who we become we really must catch, analyze, choose better stories, and then install them.Awareness is the first step to changing everything. Kindra tells an awesome story about the iceberg that took down the Titanic. Our stories are usually just below our awareness - sometimes they peek out - Kindra calls these "iceberg moments"This is step number one catching those stories in the process.Analyze: Once you begin understanding the stories you tell yourself that you can become aware of how to change that story and start telling yourself a story that will serve you. It isn't about lying to yourself, it is about empowering yourself.Choose: We have a tendency to only remember the bad stories. It is time to reinforce the powerful stories.
