22 | Stuck Feeling Drained from Other People's Stress- Do This!

from Healing Headquarters | Holistic Health, Spiritual, Work Life Balance, Encouragement, Healthy Relationships · host Amy Redl | RN, Holistic Practitioner, Entrepreneur, Author, Homeschool Mom

This week’s episode is a little different, and very real. I share a personal experience where I was feeling aligned, in flow, and genuinely good… until I found myself in a conversation with a friend who was venting and struggling. And in that moment, I felt the pull so many of us experience: Do I meet her where she is… or do I stay where I am? I wanted to support her, hold space, and offer guidance, but I also didn’t want to come down from the peace and alignment I had worked so hard to create. Afterwards, I noticed I felt shaken. So I did what I always do, I checked in with my body. Through muscle testing, I landed on an unexpected but powerful affirmation to correct this feeling. This opened up two major realizations you will hear about. In this episode, we talk about: – The emotional weight of trying to “help” others – How our words and energy impact our nervous system – Why you can support someone without joining them in their struggle – Letting go of control while staying compassionate – And how small language shifts can create real internal change If you’ve ever felt drained after trying to help someone… or like you had to dim your light to connect, this episode is for you. You can hold your peace and still hold space for others. I pray this episode blesses you deeply.
