The crew calls up their buddy Kemal Madžerak to help explain the Croatian national project of the 19th and early 20th centuries. He introduces Vuk Karadžić's Croatian counterpart Ljudevit Gaj and their dual attempts to define Serbs and Croats linguistically. Kemal discusses Illiryianism and its evolution into the Croatian national project, as well as the impact of 'Hungarianization' in the empire. He also brings Ante Starčević to the pod, the controversial nationalist loved even by contemporary neo-fascists in Croatia, and digs underneath his reputation.
