The first guest Michael Gendler was named one of the 10 Bay Area’s brightest students. Four years later, he graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors in Computer Science and has since worked as a software engineer at Symantec and a project manager at Hulu. In 2015, Michael began studying public speaking to help overcome his own anxiety and self-consciousness. Two years later, he coached Tristan de Montebello to reach the Finals of the World Championship of Public Speaking. Three months later, he quit his job and together with Tristan founded UltraSpeaking to help learn tools to express themselves with more confidence and authenticity. Although our next guest Tristan de Montebello earned a Masters in Computer Science in France and is the founder of several successful businesses. After his companies were up and running Tristan was itching to take on a new project. He chose public speaking, and with the help of Michael became the fastest competitor to make it to the finals of the World Championship of Public Speaking. Together they host Public Speaker masterclasses, conduct private coaching, and teach public speaking classes for low income High School students. They have discovered a way to make public speaking fun for anyone and decided to share this mission with as many people as possible.
