The Promise of the Father. Acts 2:1-13. Jesus had told the disciples, right before He ascend to Heaven, that they were to wait in Jerusalem for "The promise of the Father". Today is the day it comes to pass, and God pours out His promise from Heaven upon the disciples. How long were the disciples waiting in the second floor apartment, in Jerusalem from the time Christ resurrected until His promise was given them? What was the promise of the Father, that God gave to His disciples on this day of Pentecost. What was the result of God's promise to His disciples.
