Unison is what happens when everyone sings the exact same note, at the same time, for the same length of time. Harmony is what happens when different people sing different notes, sometimes even at different times. Harmony reminds us that all our differences can actually create something singular and beautiful. But it requires us to be a choir, rather than a collection of soloists. And it requires that we all sing from the same song sheet - that we are clear on the one song that unites us together in beautiful, timeless, Christ-centred harmony.
