23.27: Matthew 20: Jesus, the Savior, Gave His Life as a Ransom for Many

from Seeking the Gospel Truth · host Giselle Aguiar

I always wonder what my life would have been  like had I turned to Jesus earlier. In today’s chapter, we’ll see that  some people will know His salvation for the better part of their lives  and some will believe just in time. A friend of mine was concerned about her brother. He was an alcoholic  and was dying of liver failure. She wanted to make sure that he became a  believer before he died. He had a heart attack in the hospital and they  were able to revive him. That scare made him want to believe. She told  him that God spared his life so He could save his life. A little while after he gave his life to Jesus, he passed into his  heavenly home. The first parable explains how this works. Some people  come to know Jesus as kids and youths. Others, like me, come in at  halftime. Still others will make it just in time. Everyone who believes  gets what Jesus promises — a place with Him in God’s House in Heaven. The question is — have you got your reservation? You should be prepared to meet Jesus today because you may meet Jesus  today. In a few chapters, this will become even clearer. Let’s dig in… Keep reading in my blog where there are links to dig deeper and watch the special music video at the bottom…. Jesus said, “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.” ~ ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬ - This phrase is repeated 14 times in scripture. Kind of gives the idea that God wants us to pay attention.  If you want to reap all the benefits of salvation including the 1-way, non-stop ticket to Heaven then… Believe. Repent. Be Baptized. Receive the Holy Spirit.  Pray this prayer humbly and wholeheartedly… “Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Please forgive me. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and my life to you. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. I surrender my whole life to you and I will follow you for the rest of my life. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen.” Jesus is coming back soon! Are you ready?
