23: 8 Things I Wish I Knew At Graduation

Send us Fan MailI don't know about you but I love graduations and I'm a sucker for a good graduation speech. Something about that transition from being a student to adulthood (such a scan btw) always has me in my feelings about the journey culminating in those moments where we don our caps and gowns. Celebrating the accomplishment and looking ahead with great hope for the future. When Nina reached out to ask that I share things that I'd tell my younger self, I had to do it! I could have gone on and on but I wanted to keep it around 20 minutes (way longer than a typical graduation speech). Here are 8 things I wish I knew as a brand new graduate:1. You are not behind on life, not now, not ever2. Focus on relationships always but know that they will evolve3. Normalize therapy and asking for help4. It's time to get down and dirty with your finances5. Cultivate the habit of giving back6. Decide who you are or the world will define you7. No one has done this before, we are all winging it8. Always do your best workBonus: Find your voice and use it, but don't wait to feel courageous.
