23. Jo Rangeen: Beating the stigma of living with type 1 diabetes in India

Jo lives in India and we talk about her diagnosis story and the challenges she faced after her dad was diagnosed with cancer six months after she was diagnosed with type 1. In India, there is a stigma and societal myths around living with diabetes and Jo shares how she is breaking the stigma and myths at work, with her family and friends and inspiring others living with type 1 diabetes. Jo is also an international diabetes advocate and talks about the importance of community as a place of support and education. You can find Jo on Instagram her handle here.
