23 - Joe Simpson: History, Geopolitics, Decentralization & Extraterrestrial Life

In this episode, we talk about his childhood, what it’s like to grow up studying in Catholic schools, and how Joe became less religious over the course of life given the colorful history of religions, regardless of which denomination you practice. Next, we talk about Joe’s love for history, what about it that interests him, and some of his favorite historical figures. With our present-day geopolitical conflict with Russia and Ukraine and even China, it’s no different from what happened in the past with the likes of Great Britain and the Dutch.  We also talk about the rise of decentralization and the emerging popularity of cryptocurrency. We go a little further along and discuss the possibility of developing artificial intelligence and eventually, when we’ll be able to come into contact with aliens and extraterrestrial life.
