As a result, many of the survivors of this horrendous and senseless killing, did not teach their children and their children the Nawat language to protect them.We lost about 30,000 innocent livesIt was prohibited to speak the language for many generations. This is the reason why many Salvadorans don't have first names in Nawat, they are in Spanish or in English or other languages such as Kelly, Valery, Steven, and the list goes on.Also, the link below says "Pipil", which is incorrect as that word in Nawat means child.
