23. Vayikra: "Pass The Salt, Please" ~Deciphering The Primordial Metaphor

"And you shall salt every one of your meal offering sacrifices with salt, and you shall not omit the salt of your G-d's covenant from [being placed] upon your meal offerings. You shall offer salt on all your sacrifices." (-Leviticus 2:13) What was 'G-d's Covenant' with the salt? The power of salt is that, “It in itself has no taste, but nevertheless, it brings taste to meat.” What lesson in life is this commandment giving us? “As says the proverb of the Primordial Metaphor; 'From the wicked comes forth wickedness,' and my hand shall not be upon you.” -Samuel I 24:14) The Torah is a metaphor for the Primordial Infinite Light of G-d, blessed be He. How do we decipher this Primordial Metaphor? “Raba said: It is the duty of a man to mellow himself [with wine] on Purim until he cannot tell the difference between ‘cursed be Haman’ and ‘blessed be Mordechai’." (-Talmud: Megillah 7b) What is this law all about? What similarities can there be between the two, and why would only intoxication lead us to seeing them?
