One more time from the top. Why do we care about the year of the rooster? Because our new best friend was born this week. Yes, baby Galen.

Princess Kate had a baby. I mean our friend Kate had a baby. Wait, who had a baby? Sophisticate.

Sophisticate. Yes. Okay, girls talking podcast. It's not even where you're supposed to say.

Listen, I saw Kate in, I don't know, like two weeks ago. And I was there for New Year's Eve and I saw her two weeks ago. And we went out to sushi. And Kate is short.

She's like, I don't know, five feet. Five, two. Yeah. She says she's five four, but she doesn't know how tall it is.

She's a liar. That's like every guy who says they're six feet. Or six two. Or six three.

All of that is lies. They don't stop lying until they're like actually six five. Because then they feel like, oh no, it's fine. I have no reason to lie.

Anything under that, they're lying. Kate, we're on two. And she stood up. So we were sitting at lunch and she stood up and I was still sitting.

She's standing. Yes. Wow. She stood up, but I was still sitting.

I was eye level with baby Galen inside of her. Gross. And I was like, Kate, there is a baby between your neck and your knees. There's nothing else there except this baby.

And she was like, he was, what? He's only six pounds though. He's a little guy. Yes, but Kate is very short.

Yes, Kate is short. And they don't, it's not just the baby. They have all that gunk in there with them. I don't want to hear about that.

That's gross. And he's 20 inches long. Can you imagine having like that is why she had no body left and she was in so much pain. She had to take a bath like 18 hours a day because it was the only way she could not have pressure on her hips because that giant baby in her tiny little body.

Anyway, she had her. He's here now. He's here now. He was born the other day.

In fact, hang on. I did some research. Oh, you can't even see it because I'm not on video. I was actually interested yesterday in doing some research on his when he was born and so forth and doing some star charts of my own.

Did you do them? I did not. I realized I don't know enough about star charts to make it into the least interesting for myself. Well, okay, so I have some categories and you can choose where we go.

So these are some segments. These are some baby segments with this very special episode. But don't worry. It will also be like a shit ton of history and mystery in which neither of us knows anything.

So same as every other history of mystery. Oh, we always a disappointment to Kate. Yeah. I think she's not listening to this.

This is like a very special disappointment. Okay. So here are your categories. We have celebrities.

We have history. We have numbers charts and graphs. We have fun facts slash musings. Let's go with architecture.

That was not one of the choices. But if you'd like, I can make something up about architecture. No, I want to go with celebrities. Okay.

So celebrities who share your birthday, Gaylin, your birthday is January 18th. And I've got four famous men. Oh my. We're going to go in order from youngest to oldest.

The first is Jason Siegel. He plays Marshall Erickson on your favorite television show, How I Met Your Mother. Is that Gaylin's favorite television show? I mean, I know that Kate really likes it because one time you guys hosted a special party where we did theme to food.

We really loved it for a long time. I totally forgot about that party, but it sounds like fun. Carolyn remembers that party. Carolyn brought the best snacks as usual.

Well, of course. Okay. Next up, Kevin Costner, star of my favorite sports movie, Field of Dreams. And also owner of a restaurant that your mother and us ate at many times.

And got very drunk. I wasn't going to tell him about that, but yes. It's okay. By the time he listens to this, he'll be old and bored.

Yeah. I'm sure at any point he listens to this, he'll be bored. It will make him old. Okay.

Number three. I feel like your mom would be really into this. Gaylin. Carrie Grant.

Oh, that is a very Kate thing to be interested in. I don't really know much about Carrie Grant except he's a famous actor and he was in black and white movies. And he might have been the one that was secretly gay. Well, Rock Hudson was.

Carrie Grant was like maybe. And then last, but certainly not least, AA Milm. Oh, Hunter Acre would. Yeah.

And so therefore I feel like we should have some sort of gaylin, Winnie the Pooh themed adventure, but not like modern Winnie the Pooh, like the ride to Disneyland. No, like old school Winnie the Pooh, like pencil sketches. I like that. All right.

Shall we move on to a new section? Of course. What should we do? Musings.

Musings. All right. I've got a couple. Do you have some too?

I'm using about the baby. Or about life in general. Oh, um, no, not as such, but maybe something you say will jog my memory. Sure.

Okay. So I've got two musings of the political nature. Oh, God. First musing is baby Gaylin.

When you were born, the president was Obama. Be grateful for that. You might not actually be born in the year of the Brewster because it's kind of confusing because the Chinese New Year. And I didn't feel like I was, you know, it's too boring to read the article about what your actually is.

But for sure, for sure, your president is President Obama. Let's get to know. It'll get confusing because of someone else who I don't feel like mentioning. Yeah.

Okay. Political music number two in 1993, Gaylin's birthday, January 18th was the first time that Martin Luther King Jr. Day was recognized officially by all 50 states. And I remember when he was born, I was like, Oh, I bet that a lot of times his birthday will fall on a holiday weekend.

That's so fun for him. I know. I think it's cool to have such a like, bro, you know, to, to, to, to, to, you know, even though MLK wasn't born on January 18th, it's close enough. Yeah.

That is absolutely close enough. I was, you can still get the benefits of the holiday, you know, sure. Musings. Do you have any?

You read a letter, you read a letter of musings. I did write a letter of musings. I am not totally sure why I just felt like I should. And then I sat down and wrote some thoughts out.

And it was a private letter for Gaylin only. And I put it on you post it on medium.com and put on Kate's wall. I do all my writing on medium. That means nothing.

And yeah, and Kate liked it, which is good because I called her stubborn in it. No, I don't know if she would, but she's a good sport. I liked in a letter, I liked in a letter you talked about how he's going to grow up with like five billion playmates because Kate and David run a school and it's going to be like this co-op, you know, of co-opness. I was, when Gaylin was born, I was camping in this field that was like, I could hear these animals and I thought maybe I'd accidentally parked in like a cow pasture.

But then when the sun came up enough, I realized they were sheep and they were being so noisy because they were getting fed and they were like running all around and they were like, bah, bah, bah. And Kate was like talking about epidurals and how they're the greatest thing ever. And I was just like, baby Gaylin needs to live on a farm like this. Like I just like, cause I really like, I was sitting there and I was like, Kate would be obsessed with everything I'm experiencing right now.

Absolutely. What were you doing? Kate was a farm. I know.

What were you doing? I was asleep. I went to bed at like nine. Yeah, me too.

And then Kate texted me the next morning at like six o'clock maybe. I was already awake and laying in bed and she sent me a picture of the three of them together and I was very touched by it. Everybody looked like they should, you know, Gaylin looked nice and small and tired and Kate looked very tired and David looked properly happy. So you know, it was a nice photo.

Yeah, David looked like how he did it on his wedding day when he was talking and crying at the same time. I was like, I was like, I was like, I, yes, this is David and ordinary, and happy. Oh, talking and crying. You know how he is.

And he's like, I'm going to read this poem. Nobody look at me. Oh, that's lovely. What section now unless you have more musings?

I don't really have anymore musings that I can think of. Not as yet. Maybe I will soon. Okay.

Let's see. I have some taps. Let me read some facts from these tabs. Okay.

Oh, by the way, yes. What? You got to admit what I got to admit. I forgot what some of the other categories were that I could have chosen from.

No, I'm sure you did. So 2017 is the year that Gaylin is born and we might all recall that 17 is my favorite number. So I'm very excited for him to be born in this year. It was so close to being on your ideal date too, but then he wasn't.

I know. I know he could have been on one one seven one seven. Mm hmm. Yeah, I might have felt sad about that.

But then, but I also feel sad that he's not twins. So, you know, whatever. Well, you know, he can't win them all or even any of the things that we want for him to be a twin or more on the 17th, but he's born in the year 2017. So that helps a lot.

That's very good. He's he's a fire rooster. Oh, tell me more about that. I don't know.

His unlucky color is red. Uh oh. And his unlucky direction is east. Oh, what about his lucky ones?

Uh, his lucky colors are gold, brown and yellow. Huh. And his lucky directions are south and southeast. There you go.

He lives in the south. So that's good for him. Texas is not the south. It is downwards southwest.

It's the region it is called. It's right in the middle of the country. It is very much so. So if you're looking on a compass, I feel like that me roosters are healthy and enjoy sports.

That's funny. Kate doesn't enjoy sports at all. Well, she's not a rooster. I don't know.

She's probably a rat like me. I'm a rat. Oh, no, I might have both of your rats. I might be a tiger or something.

I think I'm a rat. I feel like I'm a rat. Well, in 2017, not good. Well, sorry.

All right, I'm over this page. Yeah, let me move to another tab. Oh, the cost of goods, the year you were born. That's not interesting at all.

Can you even like, I was reading this and I felt like such like, I just felt like such a douchebag because I was like reading it and I was like, I have no idea how much things cost for anything now. Yeah, but they do say that wine is $9.19 and I was like, if you're being fancy, right? Like the most expensive of all wines, maybe. Right.

And then let's see. Oh, I've got a list of history facts. Tell me that I kind of just want to do as a pop quiz to Kate to be like, did you know these things happened? Full stop.

And also they just happened to happen on January 18th because I don't know what any of these things is like there's this in the year 350 general magnetists deposes Roman and her Constance and proclaims himself emperor. Okay, that is a big deal. In 1486, King Henry VII, Mary Elizabeth of York, January 18 1886, modern hockey is born with the formation of the hockey association in England. So that explains why Canadians are so obsessed with hockey.

Do you feel like the twins are athletic, like Galen and David, Galen the older? I don't know. Are they? I don't know.

They seem very into like books and things. Yeah, I don't see them as the athletic sort. So I wonder if Galen, the younger is going to be a giant disappointment to our entire set of people by being some sort of hulking football star. Yeah, he's like going to care about sports so much and his parents are going to be like, could you not embarrass us?

You were the child of the school and he's going to be like, I just want to play soccer, okay? It's like, mom, I don't like these books. I just want to play. Oh.

Oh. Hulking intellectual parents being like, oh, our son, he's like an embarrassment of the classical education community. I love this. Yeah.

And he's like, Galen's like, they're like, Galen, what'd you learn at school today? And he's like, let me tell you this boring story about this dumb game we made up. They're like, uh-huh. He's broken.

Send him back. Dude, that is exactly the kind of child I would get as someone who just said interest diametrically opposed to my own. Right. Some sort of like really popular, really cool athletic kid.

So I'm like, tell me about your life. And he's like embarrassed of you. Yeah, he's like, mom's, like, mom, because you're really not cool. People always growing up, people always not like always, but I remember like specific instances more than once where someone didn't understand why I wasn't embarrassed by my mom.

And I always was like, well, she's not me. Like, it didn't even occur to me to be embarrassed. I felt very much like we're obviously two different people. I like that that was the move.

It's like, no, please. One time my parents were matching t-shirts to a game to like one of my basketball games. And it was an accident. And one of them was wearing, it had like a saying on the front and a saying on the back.

Have I told you the story? No, I don't think so. Okay. And then on the front, if you're not living life on the edge and then on the back, it said you're taking up entirely too much space.

Okay. What does it mean? It means like, you know, take risks. Don't be afraid.

And we happen to have two copies of this t-shirt. And my parents accidentally both wore it to one of my basketball games. And my mom had put it on backwards. So it looked like they were wearing like a his and her shirt.

But like for some dumb rando. Yes, motto. That really was like unrelated. It's not like they were like, like, go great at this basketball game.

I love that. Like, not only that, go great at this game. Mom, you're embarrassing me truly, but not even though I had to do athletic cheers. No, I, well, and I just like, I was like, when they showed up that way, I remember being like, like in my head being like, this is kind of funny that you guys were the same shirt.

And mom, you're dumb for wearing it backwards. And like that was the end. It was like a minor amusement to me. Sure.

And this girl, and then this girl, Cammy, who was kind of like, you know, attitudey. She was like, I can't, she was like, she was like, I can't believe that your parents wore that here. And I was like, do you think I have control over them? What do you think our relationship is exactly?

I'm a basketball star and a stylist. I think not. I can't do it all, Cammy. A lesson I wish I had learned back then in 1997.

I wish Cammy and I had lingered on that point a bit longer. So that I really understood it. Yes. Um, oh, what else is I going to?

Oh, oh, I will defend my mother and say my mom wasn't athlete and played all the sports in high school. And so I was a bit of a disappointment with my two left feet. Yeah. All right.

What are your ghelin facts are there? And passion and passion for craft. Yeah, my obsession with staying inside reading was also what is my mind to my very athletic, very, um, yeah, athletic minded mother who enjoys something more than hiking and gardening and playing sports while the rest of us pale sickly people stay inside and read. All right.

January 19th, 1913 during the first Balkan war, a Greek flotilla defeats the Ottoman navy in the naval battle of Lemnos, securing the islands of the Northern Aegean Sea for Greece. She probably knows. Yeah. I'm sure she probably knows all about that and has opinions about it.

So that's why I've shared it. Yeah. Oh, uh, in 1896 an x-ray generating machine is exhibited for the first time. X-rays.

I mean, that's some, that's something to be proud of. Maybe he'll be a doctor in 1945, um, it, which is during World War II, Budapest and crack out were both liberated, which is awesome. That was, that was the, that was almost the very end of World War II. I think Germany didn't, I think Germany didn't happen until like four months later, but pretty cool.

That is cool. Um, I got to say there's a lot of people I don't like from Budapest and crack out though. So maybe we did that too soon. It's been 50 years.

I think, I think you're, I think you're safe. There's some airline crashes. I'm going to skip those. Yeah.

No, good news only. Good news only. Why are there so many plane crashes? Galen, what did you do?

Oh, there was this plane crash in 1977 that I actually listened to a podcast episode about. Um, it was, well, I think it was this one. It was the outside podcast and this plane crashed into a mountain. It's the highest like plane crash ever because it was a mountain that's like 15,000 feet in the sky.

So basically like the regular height people fly at, but they just like didn't understand the mountain was there and they crashed right into it, but there was some, um, politicians aboard and so it was like, is this funny business sabotage? Yeah, sure. Um, and no one ever really knew because it was too hard to investigate because of the snow and ice and like thin air. You couldn't breathe and you couldn't get there because it was so treacherous.

That's crazy. Yeah. Super crazy. Because it was like in the winter, they couldn't even like, because it was in January, they couldn't even like do anything until like June.

It's crazy. Um, this is like, I mean, I appreciate that someone makes these websites with the lists, but also like, do we really need to know for interestingness? Yeah. I really need to know if Washington, DC, Mayor, Mary, and Barry is arrested for drug possession and FBI staying.

I mean, I'm glad that happened. I just don't know if that's like something important to January 18th. Um, what else? I'm looking to, I'm just, I'm almost to present day.

I'm just looking to see if we've got anything else that isn't a plane crash. Oh, everything, everything else is boring or sad. Okay, new tab, you're getting gold.com. Are we buying him gold?

Galen, you're getting old. The URL makes it look like it says you're getting gold. Which as we learned, that is one of your lucky colors. So happy birthday.

You're getting gold. Gold. It really does look like that because it's Y-O-U dot R-E-G-E-G-E-T-I-N-G-O-L-D dot com. Uh huh.

It's, it's, it takes me a minute. All right. Galen, you're getting old. You are three days old.

Your star is Capricorn. Your birthstone is Garnet. The moon has, the moon has orbited the earth zero times since you were born. Her perspective, me being the old lady I am, the earth has orbited, the moon has orbited the earth 433 times for me.

That's so few times. You have taken approximately eight hundred, no, eight thousand, eight thousand breaths. That's all. I know, isn't that so cute?

That's so little. I know, and your heart has beaten approximately three hundred thousand times. That's so many times. When you were born, there was approximately seven and a half billion other people alive.

And when I was born, that number was about four and a half billion. You've been busy at Abigail. These, so there's some stats about traveling around the sun, but they're too complicated for me. Perfect.

And then, do you want to do science or math? I mean, I do it okay. It's just like only if it matters, like, you know, drink recipes. And then baby Galen, you will be ten thousand days old on June 5th, two thousand, forty four.

Two thousand days? Two thousand days? Okay. Do you want to hear about being a Capricorn?

Ooh, I love it. Yeah. So basically we're predicting your personality. Well, some of the stars predicted your personality and we're putting it out there and we support you no matter what.

You are defined by your loyalty, intelligence and discipline. Your friends and family would be the first to praise your loyal nature as you always seem to have their best interest at heart while you're three days old. He doesn't have any friends. While you're loved, he is a friend to be.

I met her. He doesn't have a personality yet. So I don't think that I'm telling you his personality loyalty, intelligence, discipline. While your loved ones appreciate your devotion to their needs, they may admire your personal discipline and intelligence the most.

You have a quick mind and an attention to detail that is difficult to match. These abilities allow you to solve any problem that comes your way. Well done, baby G. I have some information about your career, baby G.

Selecting a career may be a daunting challenge, but take comfort knowing that your natural abilities are well suited for numerous careers. Your gifts for communication and fortitude may be well suited for demanding careers such as business, advertising or media. At the same time, your intellectual pursuits may take you down the path of science, research or medicine, much like Daniel Hale Williams, who was also born on January 18th. I don't know who that is.

I was going to say it was something about the X-ray thing, but I don't think so. I think I was just stretching. The world of entertainment may prove too alluring to ignore. That's what he's going to be.

He's going to be an athlete and then he's going to turn into an actor and Kate and David are going to be like, dude, how did this happen to us? I love it. I can't wait. This is a case.

Look to the very unsuccessful career of Kevin Costner, another of your celebrity birthday twins for motivation. Some of you too can own a third-rate restaurant in the Palm Springs. Where were we? Opacity.

And also you're associated with a tarot card three at Pentacles. Very interesting. I will say Garnet for NG. That's a good nice matchup.

Oh, that is. Scaling Garnet. That's like his which name. And Pibweisbee, which is...

No, they can be... What's it called? There's another word. Yeah, we're locks or something else.

Oh, one last fact. The color of the year this year according to Pantone is greenery. Wow. Another G-word.

And it's been incredibly green here in Los Angeles this entire week because of the rain. It's insane. I was in some flash floods today, but I'll save that for my joke life moment. Oh my.

Is it time for joke life moments yet? Sure. Unless you would like to do some more newsings. Oh, yeah.

I think we could. All those newsings were a good start. Oh my. He's so cute.

Well, he's going to be an actor. He's going to be an athlete slash actor like OJ. Just like our friend OJ. Your friend and I.

I just really like to push the envelope. Yeah, clearly. I don't know what these things I have for me. It was a very good day.

It was a very good day because of the inauguration. He got here just in time to get. I didn't have to watch any of the inauguration, but. I have to talk about what was going on Twitter here and there throughout the day.

And it was a very strange day. But yeah, I feel like I heard just in time. I know I do change over. I feel happy that he this is I'm going to make it about me.

I feel happy that he's here so I can focus on loving him and not thinking about anything else in the world. Yeah, then our wonderful distraction and time to turmoil. Oh God. Dear Galen, as a man, please be less of one thinks.

Well, he's not yet. You know, I know we have such a good opportunity. To indoctrinate him into being, you know, a human being. Reasonable.

Yes, that doesn't make a lot of work. Oh, yeah. Parenting is the worst. You have a lot of parenting side projects that going on right now.

I do have so many parenting side projects. I much prefer a parenting side project to a what's it called? Full time parenting. Yeah.

Yeah. Is there something you would like Galen to know about this week or is there something you would like him to know in general? Galen, I was in Joshua tree when you were born. I was asleep just like Amanda.

But I, I love the desert and you're going to grow up in the desert basically. You're also kind of in the ocean because of the horrendous location of Houston. But anyway, the desert's awesome. I was glad that's where I was when you were born again, making it about me because it felt like, I mean, you had to be born in a hospital because of science.

But it was kind of like you're born in Joshua tree, you know, you had many places. Oh, yeah, I guess we kind of don't exist until other people know about us. So he kind of was born in different times, sounds at different times. Yeah.

I remember all day long when your mom was in the hospital, Galen. And she had texted that morning saying that she was on the way to the hospital and the contractions weren't a big deal yet. And that was at like, I was pretty early in the morning on Wednesday morning and I just all day long. I was just like, I just kept remembering that you were almost here and feeling excited and just like, I don't know, it reminded me of like Christmas Eve when I was a kid.

Something is happening, something is happening, something is happening. And, you know, I felt that once before with a baby and it's such a fun feeling. And then when you were born, I wanted to drive to Texas immediately, but I couldn't because I had work to do. And I'm going to come see you in February.

And I know you have so many friends right now. So I'm waiting until they all fade away and then I can swoop in. Exactly. The early adopters, once they fall back, I'm ready to make my move.

Yeah. I think that's a solid choice. And waiting until they figure out how to like feed him and, you know, other things. Making a bit of a human.

Yeah, but I'm hoping to get there before it. Like when babies are first born, when they're crying really loud, it's kind of like a joke because it's so quiet. Yeah. It's like, yeah.

And you're, and they think they're being so loud, but really you're like, oh, I could put a blanket over you and no one would hear this. That's scary. Gailen, nobody's going to put a blanket over you. Don't listen to that.

Not just suffocate them, just to, you know, keep them quiet in the movies. I feel like that's how tired mothers describe what accidentally happened. Okay. Anyway, so I'm hoping to get there before he grows out of that.

And then his crying is really loud. So I'm like, I'm going for the sweet spot in about, I don't know how many weeks is it, three weeks. So we'll see. Nice.

Yeah. Yeah. I need to get my ticket to go as well. I would like to go visit him.

I didn't really know what was happening. I was at work. I didn't know anything about him until the next morning. And also because I had not seen Kate in a while.

I didn't really have a good concept of how far along she was. And so I only, and I just got being like, oh, Kate's pregnant. She's always been pregnant. And then suddenly, and then I was like, oh, wait, now I'm going to have a baby.

I know. I had a friend on Facebook the other day post like a TBT. It was like one year ago and then today, and her one year ago picture was like of her positive pregnancy test. And then her today picture was of her kid that's been around for like, since like before Thanksgiving.

And I was like, that's so weird. I know, I was like, that's so weird. That's so weird. Yeah.

So, I was like, what if you were pregnant and then like two days later, you had a baby that's terrifying. And sometimes for people who are so people who are adopting get on a wait list, and the process to get approved for adoption takes forever, kind of like pregnancy. But then once you're approved, then you then you really do have a two days notice. It's like, ah, anyway.

That's how my friends were who adopted their little girl. They were like, our application went through. Oh, okay, we have a baby. So now we're now we're going today to go get the baby.

Yep. And then they came back and the baby was four months older. She was like, and I'm pregnant. So.

No. Yeah. So they have like a one year old and they're about to have another baby. Wow.

I know. At least, I mean, those kids will have fun. Oh, yeah, for sure. I just thought it was so funny because they were like, we'd spend all this time trying to solve this problem.

And now cool. Now we have so many babies. Right. All the babies.

So, sorry. Yes. I feel like them. I was going to say something that I'm not sure is true.

Well, I feel like the more babies the better, but then every time I'm in a situation where you have to parent multiple children, I'm like, no, I totally get it. I totally get it. Why people are like, one is enough. Yeah.

I mean, I feel like don't get outnumbered as a solid thing. If you maybe can't, if you're not sure you can handle it. Like I feel like two is plenty. God.

My, I had a friend who was babysitting, like he was helping his brother. So his brother's wife was out of town for work. So his brother had their two kids on his own. And I think their kids are like one and like three or one and two and a half, something like that.

And the dad was like, yeah, two was a big mistake. We thought we wanted four or more. And we were really, really happy with one. And so we, you know, now we have a second one and we love him, but I mean, it's just, it's so much work.

Mm hmm. Yeah. And so the only reason you'd have like a bunch, I feel like is if you had the kids kind of far enough apart, they start helping you out with the younger ones. Right.

Like how you grew up where it was like, yeah, every three years, just another pair of hands to help out around the house. Well, and I even do that with, with my nieces and nephew, Ellie is almost six. And I'm constantly like, Ellie, why don't you go dress your sister? Ellie, go dress your sister.

Right. Because she has this skills and I feel like it's good, you know. Oh, yeah. Everybody should help.

Yeah. Okay. Should we joke like moments now that we've been some people some really good parenting advice. Yes.

Yes. And we do this segment called joke life moments. And it's because people think that we're like these like amazing put together ladies. I don't think.

And we try to be a little more transparent. We just really want to make a lot of authenticity to our very visible public roles. Yeah. And so we talk about a moment in our week that was a joke and your mom has a lot of these, but she keeps them secrets.

Like a wise woman. Like a wise woman. And so you'll have to ask your mom what her joke life moments are. Or maybe we should, should we tell one on behalf of Kate?

I feel like that's some very choppy waters. Fair enough. Fair enough. Yes.

All right. Do you have a joke like moment? Yeah. I was just remembering some of Kate's that we're not going to be sharing, but pretty good.

I'll put tiny hands. Oh, always, always. I wonder if you have a little tiny hands too. A little joke baby hands.

Probably. So I have a couple. My car's tire had a problem sometime like a week or two ago. And I was like, dang it.

And I got the guy. You mentioned AAA came out and he saw your chandeliers. I mean, that happened. Oh, God shameful.

So that happened. And I still have not gotten the tire fixed. And instead of getting it fixed or not driving it or whatever, I decided I was going to become a huge train commuter. So I communicated by train every single day since my car tire busted.

And today I came home and there's a huge rainstorm. And I learned that I had learned my car window down a little bit. And the tire inside of my car was really soaked. No.

And it's been a little bit open for like every storm that's happened in the past week or two. Right. It's rained almost every day since you stopped driving. And the wind has been so good.

So in order to avoid getting solving one problem, I have added like an hour commute to my day every day. Plus you're in your car. Which is almost paid off and probably worthless. Can you dry it with a hair dryer?

I don't know what to do to be honest. Because okay. So one time I accidentally flooded my apartment because I left the window open when it was raining last winter. By the way listeners who don't live in California.

The reason why we have so much trouble when it rains is because it never does. Okay. I mean, we're stupid. I mean, we're stupid.

So much rain. Yeah. It's had so much rain in the past couple days. Los Angeles looks like a different city because of how green and very early does.

Also, there's no drainage. So like in the in the buildings don't have gutters and the roofs aren't angled to like run off water. So like I've had windows and apartments fled like at almost every place I've lived if there's a big rainstorm. Yeah.

So but I this time was my fault because I left the window open. Yeah. That was my fault too. What was I doing?

It soaked my mattress and my carpet and I this is how I learned how carpets are made. So I pulled back like I was able to pull the staples out because it was like shitty like it was like the same stapler. I have like just one of those like automatic staplers. I was like, have the carpet down.

So I was able to pull that up which my cats were real pleased about because they've been trying to do that for like months anyway. So I pulled that up and underneath the carpet is a carpet mat and that's the soft part. Yeah. There's the padding stuff.

Yeah. So I didn't understand that. So the carpet itself is just kind of this like thin shitty thing and then underneath that is the mat and then I mean just a comment. Yeah.

And so what I did. It doesn't matter so much what it is. Right. So I pulled up the carpet and the mat and folded them back and then the cement was like soaking wet.

Like a street. Like pavement. Like I got my hairdryer and I propped it up and I left it on and then like every half hour I would move it around a little. Oh, that's so bad for the hairdryer.

Like I use it. Let's be real. And also like with with shore power, it really doesn't matter that much. Like it's not over heat it because you're getting enough water to the hairdryer.

I learned I know way too much about electricity now. So and then eventually the pavement or whatever the cement was dry and you know back to cement color not wet cement color and then I put the pad down and I did the same thing to the pad. And by then the carpet part had dried because that actually drives really fast because there's nothing there. Anyway, you should do that with your car is what I'm saying.

Oh, I feel just leave it forever. Yeah, I mean that's possible. Well, maybe what you got to do is you just got to get it somewhere sunny. I think it'll be okay in the next couple days.

We'll see. Um, what's your joke life moment? Okay. So my joke life moment is this morning again, the rain was kind of foiling my plans.

I also got really bad asthma in the middle of the night. So I took this cough syrup, which knocked me out, which is great because I've been having trouble sleeping. And so this kind of like did the job, but I was up a lot later than I usually am. I felt kind of rushed about that.

Didn't get a chance to make my coffee. My phone died when I had an important phone call. It was kind of a rushed morning and it was raining. Sounds like you need a Metz-A-Corona moment.

Tell me about it. Galen, when you're old enough, we'll explain to you what Metz-A-Corona is. So I'm, so I leave where I'm parked that night to sleep and I'm driving. I've got like about an hour drive ahead of me to get to my next house sitting job.

And so I'm like, okay, I'm just going to hit the road. It's raining too much right now. I got to charge my devices and I'll get closer to my destination. I've got a couple hours per day to go there.

I can run s'merens. I can do sork. Once I just like get out of this parking lot and get on the road, everything will be make it so clear. Well, as soon as I start driving, I feel stuck to my stomach, of course.

And it's because I took my medicine without having my coffee with it, like an amateur. And I'm also like, I need coffee because like I had this cough syrup, so I feel a little bit hungover from the cough syrup. And also it's raining. And anytime it's raining, I'm like, I would like to be asleep or I would like to be drinking coffee.

Like there's no. Yeah, it's bad to be driving and so forth. But it's always easy for me to stop when I'm towing anywhere I want. And so it's always this like dance of like, okay, can I find parking here?

And when it's raining, usually you can find parking anywhere. You just have to walk. But when it's raining, you don't want to walk. And I don't know where my umbrella is.

It's somewhere in the truck, which would involve me like, you know, no, not going to happen. No. So I'm like kind of like trying to find something. And I end up, there's a Taco Bell that has a parking, like I can park the trailer right next to the door so I can like run in, get some coffee, maybe a pellet, move on.

So originally when I had this pellet, I was going to report on how tasty it was. But it wasn't this story will end differently. So it was called a grilled fiesta breakfast burrito and it was delicious. Oh, that sounds good.

It was egg, potato, pico de gallo and like nacho cheese wrapped in a tortilla and then like grilled on the press thing, you know, like just like crunchy tortilla on the outside. And I put some hot sauce and ketchup on it and it was home. Let me tell you, they were out of coffee. They were like, our machine is broken.

Oh my God. And then my eyes were excess fries and I was like, but, but, but. I was like, whatever. I was like, at least I got this burrito for like $1.50 and that will make my tummy, not hurt from my medicine.
