New Jersey was one of the hardest hit states by the COVID pandemic, and the government's response to COVID likely ended up causing more pain than the virus alone. Governor Phil Murphy even went as far to say that worrying about the Bill of Rights was "above his pay grade" when being pressed on his administration's lockdown tactics.
