232 - Astrologer Dena DeCastro and the Upcoming October Eclipses - Big Seance

  Astrologer Dena DeCastro returns to tell us how we can take advantage of two upcoming October eclipses to benefit our lives. In this interview, we learn that eclipses are not rare. We also learn why an eclipse is such a great device to use in Hollywood. According to Dena, "There is a spooky, supernatural quality to the whole idea of an eclipse. Something is literally being interrupted [in] the natural order, and it's a moment of pause. And you can look at that and be kind of spooked out, or you can look at it and say, 'Wow! She has been a counseling astrologer for over twenty years and has been teaching astrology since the mid 2000s. She received her astrological training through Steven Forrest's Apprenticeship Program, and holds two Master's Degrees. Her articles have been featured in The Mountain Astrologer magazine, and she has appeared on many podcasts and local radio shows over the years. She also hosted The Sirius Astrology Podcast (2007-2014), one of the first astrology podcasts. They occur in pairs, two weeks apart, about every six months. We have two eclipses coming up in October, on the 14th and the 28th! The current series of eclipses is in the Aries/Libra polarity, which began in April. We have a final Taurus/Scorpio polarity eclipse on October 28th. When an eclipse falls in the sign of the north node, it is calling us to aspire to move toward the positive aspects of that sign. This was the case with April's eclipse in Aries: the calling was to integrate the high side of Aries, because that is also the sign of the transiting north node. In contrast, on the upcoming eclipse of October 14th, the shadow side of Libra is more likely to show up. Before October 14th — "What do you want to let go of around old relationship patterns?" "What new things do you want to invite in in your relationship life?" 16:50 The October 28th lunar eclipse. Wrap up things you've been working on regarding security, money, safety, and staying grounded. Acknowledge the work and progress you've made and release. 20:53 Purging and letting go. Dena uses Patrick, who is an Aries, as an example of how you can apply the astrology of eclipses in your life. "Were there any significant changes in the spring regarding vitality, health, creativity, or sense of self?" 22:40 Dena continues using Patrick as an example, looking at the Libra qualities in him (as that is the opposite of his sun sign). "Looking at the balance of your relationships, how is it supporting the new things that you've kicked off and started?" 26:25 Dena has succeeded at a daily meditation practice and is seeing the benefits! 29:24 We have even more eclipses coming up!
