有一次，猴子在动物集会上跳舞，赢得了大家的好感，被选为山林之王。狐狸非常嫉妒。一天，狐狸对猴子说：“大王，旁边那座山上有一片桃林，您不去看看吗？”猴子有些犹豫，狐狸接着说：“除了您，没有人配得上享用那么好的桃子。”猴子便开心地跟着狐狸去了。狐狸哪能那么好心呢，它早就知道猎人在那儿布下了圈套，结果猴子被猎人的网罩住了。
