234. Day 9: Praying for our Children to Walk in the Love

Welcome back to the kitchen table. As we walk into Day 9 of our prayer journey, our focus turns to a fundamental aspect of our children's development—their character.  Today, Bethany welcomes you to join her in prayer on seeking God's guidance and grace as we nurture virtues within our children that will shape their interactions and relationships. In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus teaches us that the greatest commandment is to love—love God with all our being and love our neighbor as ourselves. It's a simple yet profound truth that forms the foundation of our faith. For us, as parents, there's no greater desire than for our children to walk in love. We long for their hearts to overflow with love for God and for others. We ask for guidance in nurturing their hearts to be free from selfishness instead, filled with compassion, kindness, and understanding. Our hope is that these words—love for God and love for neighbor—become more than just words to our children. We pray that they permeate their hearts and minds, shaping their thoughts, words, and actions.
