234: Firm Foundations Series Part 2... Remaining Faithful When It Seems Like the Suffering Won't End with Dr. Johnice Littlejohn

from Her Renewed Strength | Bible Study, Christian Theology, Christian Women · host Erika Diaz-Castro, Bible Teacher, Christian Life Coach, Keynote Speaker

Welcome back to the show! We are in week two of our Firm Foundations Series. In this episode, I sat down with Dr. Johnice Littlejohn to talk about remaining faithful during seasons of suffering.   Dr. Johnice F. Littlejohn, DO MPH, is currently a psychiatry resident physician in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, where she majored in Biology and minored in Theatre. She earned her Masters of Public Health from Michigan State University and is also a graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her professional interests include geriatric psychiatry, as well as working to minimize disparities across racial and socioeconomic status in healthcare and in medical training. Most importantly, she has dedicated her life to Jesus and plans to use her gift of medical knowledge to serve His kingdom however He sees fit.   Johnice’s testimony of God’s goodness, gentleness and grace is one that had me in tears. She endured A LOT during crucial seasons of her life, at some points delaying or even seemingly interfering with her pursuit of psychiatry. What I absolutely love is how, through these divine delays, the Lord was actually working some things out and giving her the gift of time. Sometimes we are in a rush to accomplish the things the Lord has put on our hearts, but He knows best and His timing is perfect. Her testimony encouraged me to trust the Lord MORE and learn how to depend on Him for absolutely everything.   Click here to connect with Dr. Johnice Littlejohn on Instagram!   Resources referenced during the episode: Grief Share: https://www.griefshare.org/findagroup Teen Challenge: https://teenchallengeusa.org/centers/   Learn more about Her Renewed Strength, including private coaching and our online community: https://herrenewedstrength.com/
