237. Day 14: Praying for Our Children to Walk in Peace

Welcome back to the kitchen table. In today’s episode Betahny prays for God to work in our children’s hearts and minds. We ask him to shape their character, helping them to understand how their words impact those around them. As parents, we hold a deep desire for our children to grow up walking in peace.    Proverbs 15:1-2 teaches us the power of our words. We ask God to work in our children’s hearts and minds, helping them to see how their speech impacts those around them. When our children speak, we hope their words glorify God and uplift others.  Encouraging our children to run their words through a Holy Spirit filter is crucial. This means teaching them to pause and consider: Are these words kind? Are they spoken in anger? We continue to pray that they understand the power of a soft answer.
