24.05 The Wicked King Ahaz (Part 1)

from Indigenous Faith · host Craig & LaDonna Smith

Welcome friends to today's edition of Indigenous Faith.  In today's program, Craig and LaDonna Smith bridge between the past seven episodes, which featured powerful  interviews with Dr. Vern Charette and Emmitt and Belen McKenzie, as they return to their series on the Kings of Israel and Judah of Old Testament times.  After providing some helpful review of the special interviews just completed, Craig and LaDonna begin the process of introducing the next king in their studies, a leader by the name of Ahaz.  Ahaz was the father of the righteous king Hezekiah, and grandfather of the wicked and vile king, Manasseh.  While Scripture's review of him is very brief, (only 20 verses in 2 Kings 16), it is packed with some incredible lessons to be learned by us today.  Ahaz was much more like his grandson, Manasseh than he ever was like his son, Hezekiah.  Ahaz was one of the wicked and vile kings who led Judah down a long and painful road to syncretism and the vile practices of the pagan nations.  From worship of false gods on pagan altars to unholy alliances with pagan nations, and even the vile practice of child sacrifice, King Ahaz did it all and led his people to do the same.  As the Smiths continue in upcoming episodes to unpackages the life and times of King Ahaz, we'll be introduced to some astounding parallels between Ahaz's reign and the demonic led pagan worship and debauchery that is happening today in our larger modern American culture.  The same demonic gods of the pagan nations of old have come to the land we love and are changing the values, culture, and morality of America to a point where we hardly can't even recognize it anymore.  So we encourage you to stay with the Smiths as some very important information will be shared in the weeks to come.  And we do so with a  deep ache in our hearts and souls as we observe today America's great sellout to Satan and his demonic forces, who's calling card is only to steal, kill, and destroy.  May God help us all to stand strong in the midst of this massive dive into the pit of lawlessness, wickedness, and hatred to the God of the Bible and His amazing salvation plan.  Persevere, dear friends, until Jesus comes again!
