24.19 Amendment of the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID)

A discussion on a proposal for a European Directive amending Directive 2014/32/EU (MID) on measuring instruments. The amendments include the extension of the scope to new measuring instruments, such as electric vehicle charging equipment and compressor gas dispensers, and improved essential requirements for existing instruments such as gas and electricity meters, to accommodate technological progress and the digital transition.
