24: Masculinity

*** THIS IS THE LAST EPISODE OF SEASON TWO *** This month, it's all about masculinity. What does it mean to be butch? How do men talk about emotions and mental health in a world that says "man up"? How are black men affected by stereotypes of masculinity? "I refuse to accept that the way I look is about being masculine. It’s not. There are lots of different types of women in the world and I want to fight for that." Tabs "We need to look deep within ourselves and identify the issues we’re facing and try and find ways out of it. It’s not women’s responsibility to do that, they’re trying navigate their own lives and their own personhoods." Derek "There is this big disconnect between what it means to be a man and what it means to be an emotional man. And I just don't understand why because it's the same thing.
