About Coach Jay Beito CSCS, HKC, MCT-2 Coach Jay Beito has been actively involved in fields of healing, movement & martial arts for the past 25 years. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, Coach Jay will help you improve your health & well being, through cultivating a natural movement based practice. Background and Experience Coach Jay completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from UC Davis and became an NSCA, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in 1998. In 2001, he completed his Masters of Science in Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine, and has been a member of the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics since 2005. From 2003-2010 he developed the Integrative Weight & Pain Management Clinics at the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College of Berkeley, where he served as Clinic Director. Wanting to resume a career working with athletes, he began volunteering his time as a Strength & Conditioning Coach at Bishop O'Dowd High School in 2007, which eventually evolved into a full time position in addition to teaching Anatomy & Physiology & Physical Education. When not empowering youth in becoming the best versions of themselves, Coach Jay provides private / semi-private training, and small group workshops for adults, seeking to improve their health, well being, and quality of life through natural movement based practices.
