Overview – The Chief Cornerstone. Acts 4:5-22. In our sermon today we examined the meeting of the apostles Peter and John with the religious leaders after the religious leaders had put them in jail the day before, for preaching Jesus and the resurrection, to the people in the temple. In their meeting, the religious leaders question the apostles about their miracle with the lame man, because they knew they had done some miracle And Peter responds to their questioning with a mouth full, and this mouth full is full of fire, and takes up almost the whole entire rest of the section. How does Peter respond? And: Why does Peter respond with such a mouth full of fire?
