There we are. I need 90 grand to build my roof at the workshop. So we go into Vegas and we're going to see what we can do. Peter's going to be my ring name.

You want to go after a good evening listen to the old talk car podcast. Time is driving me insane and figuring out ways to win 90,000 dollars in Vegas. Yes. And I told you how to do it.

And we can do it. We can do it. We've worked out a formula. A formula that allows us four or up to five errors.

Yes. And then I've got no pants. So yeah, if we get it wrong four times and a row five times and a row, then we're fine. Well then it looks like I'm eating crisps.

So is that full proof you're making? I don't know. I don't know. It's a four or five errors.

Well, you can't be wrong five times. I know. That's why it's called the ring man. Are you just a Catholic?

Things that we can't be the desert. Doesn't rain there. Yeah, true. True.

We're matching suits and we'll play the song. You're a bit of a sort of... And I said it's never been done before. Well, they got a suit.

No, I'd say they're not a thing. Just because I hang over and I'm a brain man and everyone else. It's never been done. Never been done.

Well, I need a roof. See any way to do it. See you need a roof at the back. 90 grand.

90 grand. It's a big fucking roof. Oh, 90 grand. Couples of big roof.

A big tire bike going to cut it? No, no. No. We're going to come back with 90.

So what's going to go under the roof? Are we expanding here? Oh, make the whole workshop space. So spending that money, you'll be making money.

That's what we're going for. Yeah. So you've explained that to your bank manager? No.

No, no. That's your... That's your... That's right.

You use the resolution to be no bank manager. Yes. Especially if I guess there isn't going to be any of the... I know.

I know. So if you're... If you're going to use the car with these burnt money. Yeah, he had us on a leash.

And the money with the egg stains on it. So, Vegas is literally weeks away. We're fine rising it. Yes.

Cars booked. Yeah. Restaurants are booked. Combination is booked.

Now we just got to go to the green. One person, four away. Yes, yes. Got a place with another.

Yeah. Can't wait. A different location this time, which I was a bit down. Yeah, so it's always the same thing.

Well, prices have gone out of control along Vegas. It's just... Tourism's down 50% this year, they reckon. Yeah, but why keep it so high?

Because they're nickel and dining people. I don't know why. By the way, last year we stayed at Wings and this year it's a book, the same kind of room, is like over $10,000. Yeah, it's not.

Like, you know, we need 90. We're not going to spend 10. Yeah. Start 10 in the red.

That's right. That's a good way of putting that. Of course. So, we're going to start, so net positive.

So, I'll pay for the hotel and you haven't given me any money. So, your net zero. And you're trusting me by gambling? Just how that winning me?

I've got my debts. I've got a fee. I've got a fee. I've got a fee.

You might need to win 100 to pay my 10% fee. No, there's an answer. There is. I've just told you the system.

Yeah, but that's all right. You're looking after the system. I'm looking after the system. Yes.

I'll just offer that straight away. No, no, no. I've got a range of EU. It's your luck.

Your money, you put it down. I can't put it down. I can't put it down. I'll get greedy.

No, no, no. You follow the rules. No, you follow the rules. Oh.

If we're going to use the $90,000 roof money. It's called the roof money. Yes, yes. Well, other money is by normal money.

We did all right last year, the first two nights. Yeah, they're right. They're fucking down south pretty quick. And then, five-men rediscovered.

Yeah. Pate to the open for a 10-dollar transaction. A 10-dollar transaction? Because I'm 10 bucks or something.

It's like stupid. Something crazy. I used my card for a handbag. Yeah, but you didn't use it at the ATM.

You just pay it. You use the card to pay money. So I'm never going to always used to swear. Never talk about the next show.

If you haven't done it. It's the next show. We're going to talk to the racing car drivers. OK, but I haven't.

You were sitting there. I was sitting there. I was sitting there. But everyone was going to turn up.

I was going to turn up. That's like a rare thing that everyone was going to turn up. I even had a list of rundown of what their achievements were. We're going to present the title for the title.

Yeah, yeah. Fuck up. He done his hundreds of races. Yeah, so we're going to get my bottle.

So we'll get it together. I mean, they're keen to come on the show. The Ric Short team and they haven't been on the show for a while now and Ric's been overseas. We want to talk to them.

But we did go to the track at least. Yes, we did. And I said in the PIP, the hour. Do you want security to get run over?

I watched you guys in action. I tried to keep that away. But everyone's so polite. No one says move.

It's the same. It's like your race. Because I sit in front of the toolbox. Yeah.

And Zach went to go to the toolbox. And then I'm thinking, I'm in the room, in front of something. So I've got to up and move the chair around. And like you've got his tools.

I haven't dared that I ask. That's right. This is the first race that we've done. Like we've done.

It just felt a little bit empty. I'll describe the views. At least there's a bit of the garage setup. I'll see you at the back part behind the end for it.

And mind you, we haven't got everything out of the track either. The RX8 turns off a little bit of a shot at a movie. I'm seeing the middle of the space. So it's a two car garage.

Like a tandem garage. You come in from the back and out. It's a bit straight. And the boys are rotating with it.

There was RX8 racing. The guy that was driving the Mazda in the RX8 car, the first outing, he's engine blue. So he was virtually out of the race. But he was coming forth in the championship or something like that.

I'm not exactly sure. So Zach offered his Mazda. Zach's been racing the RX8. He gave it to the guy.

So even though he's using Zach's car, the points go towards it. Yeah, I asked that. Yes. So OK.

And we discovered again, the car's fine. It's the driver. Yeah. Because we always sport the subject wrong with the car.

Zach, it's the driver. So what's the other guy, Piggie and Zach? Yeah. OK.

And we raised that on the weekend. And we said, I'm using F1 as the barometer. F1. So if you've got Max's step with the front.

It's the liquor. You've got Max's step on the front. And you've got the shit guys at the back. If you put Max in the car at the back, he wouldn't be coming first.

But he wouldn't be coming last night. No, that's right. I reckon he'd be in the middle. Where if you put the shit guy in Max's car, he wouldn't be coming first.

No. But he'd be in the mix. Yeah, he'd be. Yeah.

It's true. It's got to be a partnership. Like, do you ever see anything else? I think it was in Montecane for the tunnel with the guys.

OK. You were saying Montecane. Oh, we're OK. And he went around that car in the tunnel.

Yeah. Oh, yeah. That's like three flakes. That's good.

That's why you're seeing catching the balls. I reckon 90 out of 100 drivers will round up these hours. I would have ran out with the ratio over it. Yeah.

You're right. You're going to see seats. Spinning a gap or predicting the gap before it happens. Those corners come up so fast.

It's you've got to be on it. And they hit the apex each time, each time. Yeah. See, last year we went to Hamilton.

I was going to go and go and go racing. And it was only me and my son. And I was bored, racing. And I kept on seeing how fast and how close I'd get to the corners and hit my, like doing it.

You know, it's just it. Yeah. But like a racing line. Yeah.

But consistent wasn't good because I hit it. I hit it wiped out about three times. We were hitting the fence. That's why Fethos is scared if I drive his race car that he's getting.

He's going to have a test up the Honda in his car. I'm going to kill his car. You look at even an RX 8 level. You look at, you know, it's a little bit fragile.

It's more gentleman racing. You know what I was paying? I'm going to be there. But the consistent racers, look at the times.

Do they hit the target time? See, in that, it's pretty well even all the way through. It's the driver. Because the cars are pretty much the same.

It is the driver. But even whatever driver you are, whether you're coming first or last, and having balls, try to be consistent. Yeah. That's consistent coming last or consistent.

Consistent time. Once you get consistency, then you can work out where you go fast or slow. Yeah, true, true. Yeah, I never looked at it.

I never looked at it that way. So if you've got a consistent, that's my lap around. Yeah, but then you're probably in the mix of the drivers. There's other variables.

But if you know that's your consistent time, then you're going to look at your five, six laps overlapped like the timing. You're going to work out where I can make up time and where I can't make up. You know what you just said is a good thing? I'm going to say that because we're going to.

Can we see the Zachary Gibson side? Yeah. So I called you lessons. Yeah, because I want to get a lot more involved in it, like with the computer side of it too.

Yeah, there was a guy there with the computer too. I'll be doing all the heads in. I think that was Adam. So what was Adam's role?

I was he playing Salty. I don't know. He was on the back of the computer. But you can see everything the car is doing on the computer.

And I'll be done. So it's really the car. Is it alive? Yeah, yeah.

And I'll be doing all the computer guys' heads in. And I ask, can you put them over each other? Can you see how much fuel is using per lap? It tells you everything.

And I realise that he's the guy that can make you win or lose a race. Yeah. The shocks are everything. You know what I mean?

That's exactly like in F1. You've got tyre wear, you've got fuel. There's no refueling. There's a lot of the races that we went to on the weekend.

There's no refueling. You're fueled for those 5.8 laps. And you see in F1 where you've got to be slowed down to your pace to protect the tyres and save the fuel, if it's a fast rate. When a safety car comes out for two, three laps, then they know they've got enough fuel.

And then on the toilet driver, go for it. Go for it. Hammer time. There's no competition.

Lately on my phone, it's exciting to speak coming up. Baffes moments. Yep. Right.

And a lot of them are the last couple laps where you haven't got enough fuel to finish the race. And he's coming first. You've got to back off and you know what I mean? They know what's going on.

And what you said we've got Baffes challenge coming up in the end of November. Yep. Right. And we're modifying the car a lot now.

We pulled the trucks out, send them away. Because we've got to see what's going on with it. But, you know, I'm going to say that's that. Let's just try and work out your lap and then improve on that before we go on to do the rest.

Because we're not going to see how it is. We're just kidding. Let's try. We'll talk about taking 50 kilos of the car.

Yeah. And he's a small fella. So you've already started with your diet. So that's good.

Because I would have added 50 plus if I said that. Right. But so he was keen about losing weight on the car, which makes a big difference out of the track. And we'll think about drilling holes in hinges.

Like we'll go and all that. There's rules for, I started reading a few things. You just can't grab a drill and start drilling all the way. But I remember when he started doing the transition from Mazda to BMW.

But I remember once we were for a test Sunday at this track. I can't remember where I was. What's the one in? I was like, what's the one on all of this and four.

And you know, turning off to the straight, and I'll put the other thing was switching going crazy. You know what I mean? It's got horsepower. It's just set up with the car.

Like, you know what I mean? And like we're with the Tom Shaw and Zack. Zack, I don't think, understands how to talk. To say what's wrong with the car.

What's it doing? Yeah. And Tom over. Tells.

Yeah. Over. Yeah. You know what I mean?

And you can't get a medium. Subs important. If you have the wrong setup, the car's going to be like a fucking bronco. You're a skill and work out whether that set up suits your driving style.

That's right. Yes. So you've got to also learn as a driver what level you're at, what you can and can't do, what you're happy with. And then.

Because one set up won't suit another driver. Of course not. And their style. That's right.

So you've got to work out what your style is. But it's like give it take. You set the car up. You go out there, then you tweak it to improve it.

And where Zack's trying to tweak, tweak, tweak, tweak. Because he's, you can spend the money, you can fix it, you can improve. Well, that's what we're doing now. But you're still going to spend time on your head and do a video as well.

You think about it last time. It's not like Zack's a bad driver. He did really well with the way he talked about that. Yeah.

It depends on what happened the night before. Oh, what happened on the side? How did he get out of the side of that? Oh, he did do too bad.

But he looked not too good. But he was like, OK. But it's like, there's other beams the same as ours there. Yeah.

Right? That off. First and second. Yeah.

Well, the length of each is great straight. Yeah. After five. He was too far away to watch.

And he's in the same car. They've developed a lot. Yeah. This is why we've taken the car off the road now.

We're just going there and just racing. And I'm taking a guess instead. But that's why we pulled it off off racing. Front ends out.

Shocks have been sent away because I didn't even know this. The shocks are made for the car. You can't just buy it off the shelf. They've been built for that car.

Yeah. I didn't know none of that. But I'm learning. Oh, I'm learning.

Trust me. Will you rate the rule? Yeah. What did you learn in the rule?

A lot. A lot. And that's important because they're the rules. Like, again, they've won it.

Well, I want to learn everything. They're the rule. They've followed and been the rules. That's what everyone's trying to get advantage.

Well, I'm reading in all that for Zack. And there's a lot for safety too. You're really walking for the peak. Yeah, you can't do this.

You can't feel this. You can't feel this. Yeah, you don't debate about the refueling. You can't refuel during the race.

But what about refueling the other car? Yeah, that's right. It's the same. They've got to be careful on how they work.

But the setup of the car is everything. We've pulled it off the road because if we just let the car the way it is and just kept on going like the next race to the next race, we're really changing fuck all. Yeah. So we have to change.

That's why the chart battles challenge will mean a lot to us because we're going to the six hours this year. We want to do well. The one who's about this challenge in November. It's just a couple of days.

Yep, the race itself. It's not a race. It's just anyone with the speed license can go around the road. Oh, so it's just this classes?

Yeah. But is it racing? Or is it just like you've got an hour for our exciting you got an hour for production. You've got half an hour.

I think they're going on time. I honestly, I can't remember. So it's like just training like not training. Like, we'll practice it.

Yeah. But you need a speed license. Yeah, of course. I could just go there and go.

I don't need a speed license. You need a speed license. Yeah. But that's the loss of the, you know, what I mean?

Yeah, yeah. That's like any racing license is a speed license. Yeah, but to race. But to race the six hour the 12 hour license.

You need to race the six hour unit international license. OK. Like, there's all different. Because we're lastly, we're looking for drivers now that you've read the rules, now that we're more up for it.

And now we know what levels that's at. Well, we've got a few people we can invite next year. Yeah, well, I'll talk to that because I've got a love of one particular person who I'd look reckon would be good for the team. But then I was told that we've already picked the drivers for next year.

Like I say, because who knows it could change. Yeah. And I would like it to change, right? Because it's cost a lot of money to enter this thing.

Yeah. Right. And I want to do well as much as. To the right, too.

Yeah. You know what I mean? But like at the end of the day, see, before I was always, I'd rather zack it to drive, you know? Yeah.

So I'm looking at the exposure of the team in the car by getting an international race driver. Yeah. And we've got two or three names that I already circled for. One was keen and we sort of told him that we've got a V8 supercar.

It was just a super early tooky spot. And he's got like million followers on Instagram. Lucky the promotion and even Bathas itself, the promotion of this person that we invited his kid to come out, would be for Donald. Well, man, the six hour is growing huge.

And if they would wear VSP security up here to drive the car, it's huge. That's what I'll speak to Zach about. I'll just speak to him. But you've got to speak to him soon.

Yeah. Because Easter is coming up very quickly. And it's a lot of preparation. Yeah.

And it's a shitload of money. Yeah. Like, man, it's not racing ain't cheap, man. Yeah.

No, no, no. No. They say horse racing is a sporty Kings. Yeah.

I don't think this is sport. No, right. Man, the amount of money that you just gets thrown. Maybe the credit card to go for that petrol.

Yeah. How much do that cost? I didn't go. I made a cost to fill up petrol used to Greek.

It's too old something. I can't remember. And how many litres are in 10? 100 litres?

100 litres. 100 litres. 100 bucks to fill it up. I don't think it is as quick as you just drive up to the balcony.

Yeah, I know that. But how long is it? How long is it? 100 litres last?

I don't know, race. Well, it's drinking around that truck a litre and three quarters roughly. So nearly two litres a lap. Yeah.

A lap. So you do a 20 lap race, which is not even 40 minutes. Well, look, 15 minute race, which was our last race. Choose the tag.

Choose the whole team. OK, that's just petrol, 200 bucks for 40, 40, 40. Some of their events, like the six hour, we've got a refuel. No, no, no.

And that's bad. This is up and down too. There's a lot of hoops. Right, so you've got a refuel on it, haven't you, times?

But there's other, like, when we do, wait for 300 or 300, you've got to refuel during the race. Yeah, that's refueling, right? So the big race is looking at a grand refuel. Maybe more.

Now, what about tyres? The tyres don't last, though. Yeah. OK, they control tyres.

They're not going to change tyre, but they're not free. I can't remember if they're 300 or 400 of tyre. And you need one for a 50-minute race, one set? For sure.

So that's already $1600. That's already $2,000. For sure. $2,000 a race.

Yeah. All right, $2,000 an hour. And you've got to buy the tyres. $2,000 an hour.

Let's call it that, because it's a bit cheaper to buy. See, it lasts a race, 50 minutes. But you go for some tyres. And now, we haven't even bought the car yet.

How many of them bought what the car needs? When I see them make up a decision of, we're going to take these tyres off and put these on, because when I'm looking at, there's nothing wrong with them. Why can't we just run another 15 minutes on there? They're going to take a look.

Different people are paying different, like, you know what I mean? Like, I take the old rears off the B mark, the best ones, to keep it for the S2000. Yeah. That's how good they sell.

The tyres are the only time taken to the car at the rate. Tires being all shit late, man. Tires are like the last one. I'm the driver's change.

Were you there for the driver's change? No, no, no. On the Sunday. There was a bit of a change.

I had a driver's change. And my job was to check the right front, pressure. So I went down there, bedtime a very slow. I've seen a video of it today.

I'm not very nimble. I checked the tyres 31. Rick was car controlled. I walked over.

As I screwed the cap back, I went to get up. He goes, what was it? I got a 31. He goes, what did I tell you to say about it?

I knew what he was getting at. I got a fucking, you got enough time. Undo that, fucking boiling hot fucking. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Bring it down to 30. Yeah, burn my fingers. Someone PSI.

It makes me go for it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. About talking about burning hands.

So we got a flat leg around about the 40th mark. And we had to change the tyre. Rick, you sure had to change the tyre. Towards end of the weekend.

It was a bit tired. Yeah. And he had to do it with no gloves. He's just been shooting his lip.

You know, he's fucking, yeah. Since he's only, you know, he's only stuck up a conversation. But now I try and fuck around for him as much as possible. I'm too relaxing.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know if it works, but... Well, I think he's only into what he has to do, but... I think he's just scared.

But I was saying on that last race on the Saturday, it was, because this is the fear of being behind this car all the way. I think it's fun chasing someone. And he got him at the post, got 4th. Yeah.

So he's doing well, man. Yeah, he's doing well. He's doing well. He's doing well, man.

He's doing well. He's doing well, man. I think Zach Ford, getting a faster car, will make him go quicker. Yeah, but everything...

It does, but... Everything comes quicker. Yeah, yeah. The car needs a bit of sort now, which will get done.

But it's the right car. There's a lot of end cars out there. There's no AMGs and outies. Everyone's got end cars.

Is there a Commodore? Like I've already said to him. Next year, I want to get more involved in it. I need Viddos to keep on downloading me everything.

But I understand for cars I'd be steering as long as they talk to me. I still understand all that, right? And I want to get more involved, like, try different setups. It's not hard.

No. It's just having, what do you call it? Consents half the time. No, no.

But that was a good weekend. And thank you to Zach and his team at Vr Space Security for letting us hang out on the pizza on your part of the team. We do have the best on the car, and... ...and they had the room upstairs, but not whenever.

We just sat around the pizza. I've only had a hit. Oh, I was in there by half. No, no, I wasn't out on the garage.

There was a nice burrito. Upstairs, no. I left them on gear up there. We just sort of had to watch the star race and go back downstairs.

As soon as the race was out, I layed everything up. Yeah, I know. Especially on the show. All in the guard.

One should have stayed for Tom to celebrate his 100's race. We'll go. I was just fine. I just want to get the shot.

So you're in LA next week was we'll catch up with them. We'll go out there. So we'll set that up in the next week or two. I promise we'll be able to do the episode.

You know what I'm loving at the moment? The five series. Everyone loves that card. It's a beautiful card.

The 540D, a drive to Queensland a couple weeks ago. Did you ever went through the conference at the Gold Cards? Mate, top card. Come on, France.

Come on, France. Yeah, not me, France. I'll shut the old one up. But it wasn't conference.

Mate, the card drives by itself. And I think it's at the stage where it's more dangerous for the car. I don't know if these European cars now, you put the cruise control, the distance. How long does it go?

Or before it shows you the hands on the side? I've got my hand. No, not very long. But does it stay in the lane or does it bounce around?

No, no, it stays in the lane. The car's perfect. The car runs beautifully. So much that you're half asleep.

Well, I drive it. You're not concentrating. I drive a shitload of it. It's more dangerous.

Some are very good, eh? The beam was great. Ten seconds, you need your hands on the wheel. The Merc gave you half of it.

And it says like gave you're just tapping. Yeah, but with the beam I was holding it. I'm not sitting back and I'm sleeping. But mate, you get so relaxed and not.

Oh, you know, if you're flying there, you can just relax. Yeah, never gonna need a car up there. I'd love to drive it to me time. Well, why'd you drive back from Adelaide that time?

And I would have flown back. Because it was what we always wanted to do. Remember we were talking about it? Yeah, I'd have been back driving from Adelaide.

And I knew I'd rather be crash. I would have driven most of the way. Yeah, I did. Yeah.

And when he did drive, I was awake anyway. Because I finally did the driver's security. One of the seats. But two of me, he wanted to drive.

I'm glad. But that was after. Why would we be able to have a lot of potholes? Was it?

Everyone had those potholes. Was it raining? Was it raining? Hey, it was funny.

Like, I'll move deep. It was fine. I'm glad he drove that part. Yeah, because you get the bike, everything.

Yeah, I know. And now he's getting fed up. The car he's got to. I think he's just fed up in life.

Yeah. Everything's a problem. I can talk about this and that. He's lost his focus on his focus as well.

Oh, that's got. He just got to come out now. Yeah, well, it's got to be oiling. You got to register the other day.

Rally, rally. I'll for rallying. Yeah. No, you've got to get rid of Special Ridger.

If you leave the road to go over the stages. The stages. The top public road. I'll say it's a special ride.
