2436: Frank Loughridge

Frank Loughridge has been a hot rod and custom car enthusiast since he was a small boy. His interest was cemented when his father took him to a Darryl Starbird Rod and Custom show in the 1980s. Upon Meeting his friend Chris the two began to revive the South Gate Gaters, a club in which Chris' father and cousin had been involved in during the 1940s. Chris still has the "Pyle Special" which was one of the original Hot rods of the club. Today, Frank and the Gaters SCTA are dedicated to building and growing the hot rod spirit by producing period hot rods and hosting events including the "Bias Ply Drags" December 9, at the newly minted Street Legal Dragway in Perris Ca.
