#245 - 🇺🇸 How to Celebrate Birthdays? (3/4)

from Primum Deus · host Marcos Bomfim

Is there a Christian way to celebrate birthdays? What are the spiritual dangers of turning birthday celebrations into occasions for self-gratification and glorification of children?  Should they be praised just for being alive for one more year? How can families and churches use birthdays to guide people's minds in a spiritual channel?  This podcast, originally presented in a YouTube video, will bring suggestions about how to glorify God in birthday celebrations, and how to bring the birthday offering. The content is presented from a Biblical perspective and is also based on Ellen G. White's writings. This is the third episode of the series "Family Finance - Teaching Children Spiritual Values". It is aimed at parents wanting to provide a Christian financial education to their children and to prepare them to put God first in their adult life.  Segments of two videos produced by the General Conference Stewardship Ministries department were inserted: #33 - A Yearly Ritual - https://youtu.be/9CD_UPW7e_k #35 - Terror in the Dark - https://youtu.be/S55R8bjYp94 This presentation was based on content found in the following Ellen G. White books:   Adventist Home Counsels on Stewardship Children's Guidance Suggestion: after this episode, listen to episode #244 - "How to Celebrate Christmas?" (4/4) Watch both episodes together on YouTube: https://youtu.be/1hJmoXxUR8k
