247 - Train up a child

from The Un-Named Church Hosted by Kenn Blanchard

Proverbs 22:6 King James Version (KJV) 6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. “By learning you will teach, by teaching you will learn.” Latin Proverb “Personal example carries more weight than preaching.” Chinese Proverb “What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear you speak.” Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882); Proverbs 24:3-4 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 3 By wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; 4 And by knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.Parenting is not easy. But Proverbs 22:6 is an easy verse from which to find hope that our children will turn out “OK” if we train them well. It’s often misquoted because children learn more by example than by quoted Scripture. Asking you to live right, and take a different approach in front of your children.
