248 - Working through animosity and ill feelings

from Fathers Fire · host Jody Sedrick

A lot of us men struggle because we are trapped in the swamp of yesterday. We didn't have a father in the home. One of our parents had an addiction problem. ":Parenting" was administered by physical and emotional abuse and a myriad of other reasons that have left you destitute of a positive role model. How do you break the cycle? How do you change the trajectory? We tend to act out of a place of pride, anger, or fear? What triggers us? Do we feel unappreciated?  Do we feel unseen? Do we feel disrespected? Is that rooted in never having a voice as a child? You can’t heal what you never reveal!  Unveil the mask A lot of times we are holding on to ill feelings and the other person doesn’t even know, is oblivious, or doesn’t care. So the animosity you feel is cankering your heart and soul Be the change you want to see
