Yes, David Lang basically blipped out of existence. He was there then he wasn’t. Was David a Victorian era magician? Was this an alien abduction? Did David slip in to some kind of pit or cavern? Did David step on a fairy and live to regret it? Or was this all an elaborate plan to escape family life on the farm? There’s also the possibility that this never happened at all, sure, but we have evidence. Limited evidence.
