249. Would Jesus Vote?

What do you do when your beliefs collide with your ballot? Would Jesus Vote? And if so, who would he vote for? Recently Josh Howerton of LakepointeChurch  gave a sermon titled "How To Vote Like Jesus". We use a couple of clips from that as a springboard into this incredible conversation. We are not on the same page in this one. Our exploration veers into the moral complexities of voting and Christian responsibility in political engagement. We wrestle with the idea of rebellion against God by not voting, dissect the notion of third-party futility, and debate the ethics of supporting a system that may contradict Christian values. With humor and sincerity, we reflect on America’s perception as a Christian nation and the divisive nature of current political discourse.
