EDITORIAL 25/07/2020 - Vinte e cinco de julho é o dia latino-americano e caribenho da Mulher  Negra. No Brasil, desde 2014, nessa data se comemora também o Dia  Nacional Tereza de Benguela. Tereza, a rainha, viveu no século  XVIII no Vale do Guaporé, no atual estado de Mato Grosso. Fez jus à  linhagem de mulheres negras que protagonizaram a luta pela liberdade no  período da escravização. Teresa de Benguela liderou o Quilombo de  Quariterê, que resistiu da década de 1730 ao final do século e era  reconhecido por abrigar negros e indígenas, relembrando a necessária  relação de irmandade entre o povo negro e indígena no Brasil. Mas  qual a importância de um dia específico para as mulheres negras? A  resposta se encontra na permanente exclusão delas do acesso à  sobrevivência digna no Brasil e em todas partes do mundo. Mas ao  falarmos sobre essas mulheres, nos referimos também a uma potência  histórica na organização da resistência social e na resiliência do povo  brasileiro, que conformam um expressivo arcabouço de estratégias  políticas na luta pela vida da maioria da população em nosso país.
