#25 Element Peace - Breakdown

There was long-awaited element video. I mean, I've done my research in terms of when the last video was. But this video took about what they said in four or five years. I've got a thing about that about that.

So, heavy duty video. A couple of minutes back. So, an hour and two minutes long, mate. That's a skate video.

That's a proper skate video. It just goes to show element is definitely a brand of a caliber and era. I mean, they get a lot of heat as well. You know, if it's not being one of these new gen brands that, you know, like Pola, for example, put, you know, some cool videos out there, right, center.

But element have been there and done that. What was that? How long have you been around for? Like, like, two, like four?

Yeah. I think element is older than me. Yeah. Well, they go with them, mate.

But to keep putting out these real proper videos that you've got to buy, I mean, they haven't done the physical disc, I don't think, but it's not, I don't think I kind of, it's unfortunate. I like a good physical skateboard. The end of the day, they ain't going to make any money on that. They ain't going to make any money on that.

That's what we like to see from this game. You know, there's a lot of, there's been a lot of, like, 20 years in the last few years. We've been congratulating against a 38, 40, yeah, it's been happening and our element come out with a four year long project. How long?

Go on. Oh, definitely. And the majority of the team or rather the majority of the people that have parts in this have full parts. There's what?

Two shared parts? And, and, and, yeah, and those, I'd say one of those shared parts is, it's still a legit, legit, legit part, whereas the other one, it, I don't know, it loses me a little bit. And so it's not the skateboarding, but the way that it's been put together. So that's probably the weakest point.

And we don't need to go down that road because everyone's done a good job in this video. All the skating is next level. Oh, definitely. I mean, let's move on to the skate make.

We'll go for your running order. But yeah, let's just, let's just go and we'll talk about production a little bit because we like it to dive into some of the production value and stuff. We'll go a little bit of intro. Go intro first.

What did you like about the intro? I just like how we just kind of started. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Everyone's seen the road gap.

Everyone knows what it is. And going on the production, something you pointed out was when he's trying it, it's all noisy, there's cars, there's branded, it's chaotic. But then, that moment, that moment, when he focuses in, he's at peace in his mind. Yeah.

And everything goes quiet and it's just the skateboarding and he does it. And think about this. I mean, you know, we don't, we don't work in the Hollywood world or whatever like that. But in terms of, they've had to eliminate all that other sound, right, to retain, they haven't done a birdhouse again where they put the pops in the tricks.

Which is crazy because I never knew that when I first watched that. I didn't realise that. But now I would. But yeah, they eliminate all that, that ambience, just that impact noise.

I mean, literally just the pop, the scrape. It's all that, it's just sounds good though. Sounds good. That's when you go, oh, that's a rumble that's, if you know yours, if you're a skater, that works on you.

If you ride around the board and you listen to that and you listen to that, it doesn't do anything, you're in the wrong apartment. Maybe just go on a scooter, get the longboard out, get the longboard out. If that noise doesn't do anything for you, get the fucking longboard out. Crack out the softwills.

Treat yourself to a day out, go over hill, go to mum or whatever it is near, where you go all those fucking long, big long hills and that sort of shit. Go to a cafe first, have a look, sit down, meet up with your other doofus mates, sit down at 11. They're kind of like bikers, like without actually being cool. If you're going to have a day with them and you've got some like, you know what, you're being everything and they listen to Slipknot.

You can't really give someone shit about that, can you? You can't. Well, if they're fucking, you know, listening to Weetus and fucking going down a hill on a fucking longboard, it ain't the coolest thing to bring up in the first day, is it? Oh, no.

So what do you do? Of course they would. Oh, I longboard. Oh, oh.

I go to Wales every weekend with Graham and everything said he's Graham as I just brought him up already. I know Graham's there. Oh, hi, I'm Graham. He's next to it, he's just like, look back, he's just turned over the old boy shoulder and then it's like shit.

I'm just going to go to the bathroom and then that's, he's gone out fucking window. So I just need a power to my nose. It's gone. Yeah, because she read in the profile, but it's Tinder profile where it's like, right, right, it's fast down down here.

I mean, he's got a picture of the road. So she thought it must be a bike or something. She's an tattoo chick. She's into that sort of thing.

I just thought the slow mo was just on point and in terms of like how cinematic it was when it pulls away. So you've got a bit where he does a ball cap. It's a nice long shot. Proper establishing long long shot, if you will, of just the whole scene and it's going to let you see the city at play.

Yeah. It's like, fuck me, if you can see a whole video like this. I mean, there you go, happen, but if you could. The cinematography on this was just on point.

I really like it when the skateboarders have that rawness of the actual skating with the fish. Are you in there? But to not be afraid to go back and film it as though it's a legit film. Actually, take effort.

We just have a little breeze over Tyson Peterson's part. I mean, I think he did a really good job. I would say I've been pretty critical of him. If you listen to the band's spin away video, I don't think we've given him the, you know, we appreciate his tricks.

But the style not necessarily, I think he's refining himself a little bit. Yeah. It's got to sound weird. But I prefer the tricks where he's wearing like the normal clothes.

Don't like all this wacky shit. It takes away from the actual skating. Excuse me. But some of the skating in that is fucking ridiculous.

Some of those ten rails that he's jumping down and again, holding on. But it also, it tightens your trucks. Tighten your fucking trucks. Come on, Tyson.

I could have seen Tyson Peterson in there. I mean, there's actually a few little bits in here that feel like CKY. Just with the colour tone. And just me emphasising the reds.
