25. Ghosts: Lizzie Borden & Bloody Mary (Halloween Series)

Happy October First! We are kicking off this spooky month with a ghost themed episode. This week, Nathalie tells the story of Lizzie Borden, an infamous Fall River, MA resident. Lizzie was suspected of killing her father and stepmother with an axe. Even though she was acquited of the murders, many suspect that Lizzie was responsible for their deaths. Nathalie discusses the evidence of the case and possible motive. She talks about the Bloody Mary drink, which was possibly inspired by a waitress from the Bucket of Blood bar in Chicago. Next, she shares the story of the original Bloody Mary, Mary I of England. Mary was given her gruesome nickname after ordering nearly 300 Protestants to be burned at the stake. Lastly, Rachel reviews the history of the spooky Bloody Mary mirror game.
