25. How Christian Moms Can Set Healthy Boundaries Without Guilt

from Faith Over Anxiety for Moms · host Rachel Cross – Christian Anxiety Coach

Struggling to set healthy boundaries without feeling guilty? Have you ever felt like needing space from someone you love made you selfish, unloving, or like a bad Christian?  If so, this episode is for you. In today’s conversation, we’re talking about how to set healthy boundaries as a Christian mom when love feels complicated. I’m sharing part of my own story of walking through a hard relationship, what God taught me about protecting my peace, and why boundaries are not the absence of love. We’re also looking at the biblical process Jesus gives us in Matthew 18, along with the internal prep work that matters first: pray, practice, and ponder. If you’ve been carrying guilt, confusion, or emotional heaviness in a relationship, I pray this episode reminds you that God cares about your heart, your peace, and the burdens you’ve been quietly carrying. Highlights from Today’s Episode ⭐️ Why setting a boundary does not mean you stopped loving someone ⭐️ The difference between keeping the peace and actually living in peace ⭐️ How unhealthy relationships can affect your mind, emotions, and nervous system ⭐️ The 3 internal prep steps before setting a boundary: pray, practice, and ponder ⭐️ The biblical boundary process in Matthew 18:15–17 ⭐️ Why protecting your peace is not selfish, but wise stewardship ⭐️ How to take one small step toward a healthy boundary this week Scriptures Mentioned ✝️ Matthew 18:15–17 ✝️ Ephesians 4:15 ✝️ Matthew 7:3–5 ✝️ Proverbs 4:23 Connect With Me Website: www.faithoveranxietyformoms.com Next Steps 1️⃣ Ask God where you need wisdom and clarity in a hard relationship. 2️⃣ Get honest about what has been costing you peace. 3️⃣ Take one small step toward a healthy, biblical boundary this week. 4️⃣ Share this episode with another mom who needs this today 5️⃣ Follow the show and leave a 5 star review Xoxo, Rachel 💜
