25. How to Rock Your Style on Camera with Valonda Calloway, the TV Lady

A first impression is a lasting impression and I chat with media veteran, Valonda Calloway, about how we can look our best on camera whether we're shooting a video or telecommuting via Zoom. Valonda Calloway is a North Carolina native with an illustrious career in media. She began her journalism journey working for Voice of America, then returned to the Tar Heel State and found work at WNCT-TV as both reporter and anchor before eventually making her way to Raleigh to anchor and report for WRAL-TV. A dancer and cheerleader since her early years, Valonda cheered in college and in the NFL for the Washington Football Team. Whether serving on the PTA, mentoring girls, or giving her time at a local food pantry, Valonda embraces the verse, "to whom much is given, much is required." In 2013, Winston-Salem State University named Valonda a 40 under 40 award winner and in 2015 she was inducted into the university's C. E. Gaines Hall of Fame. Currently, Valonda is a spokesperson, freelance TV host, actress, media trainer, content strategist and dance teacher.
