#25 - James Kelly (Peak House)

James Kelly is the Executive Director of Peak House, a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility, informed by social justice approaches towards therapy and counselling, for British Columbian youth, the first of its kind in Western Canada. Peak House is operated by the Pacific Youth and Family Services Society and funded by Vancouver Coastal Health. BC Housing owns the physical building where the program is run.2018 marks Peak House’s thirty-year anniversary of helping young people - between the ages of 13 and 18 years old - with a voluntary, live-in ten-week program where they can attend therapy and also partake in activities to develop life skills and establish healthy relationships.
