He has a similar path as a lot of us, he was working in corporate america listening to some many of his coworkers complain and be upset. What he found was that there were many tools, resources and businesses wanting to help you become something. Learn a trade, get a degree and analyze your strengths. But what about what you want to be? We never teach children or adults how to choose what's best for them or even most enjoyable. So he started reflecting on his experience and do some research.
