#25 Marianna Previti, singer and music teacher

from Planetary Gig Talk · host Planetary Gigs Society

Marianna Previti knew at a very early age that she wanted to be a singer. There was a lot of music in her family and she has played countless gigs throughout her career. Her master's thesis was on what it means to listen; she says listening is a big part of music, and that "a real listener becomes the best musician." As a teacher, she says children need to have less structure and more silence; "within the silence, they can find their own voices." She suggests we "try to be silent as much as you can."
